Farewell to My Dearest Friend, Captain

Tomorrow, we will gather as a family to say goodbye to my greatest companion, Captain. You are more than just a c**n hound; you are my loyal friend and a beloved member of our family.

From the moment we brought you home as a puppy, we watched you grow into the magnificent dog you became. Your incredible tracking skills and playful spirit brought so much joy to our lives. I’ll always cherish our games of hide and seek, where your excitement would light up the room, and your tail wagged so fiercely that it often left bruises on my legs.

What I will remember most is how you always seemed to know which family member needed your support. Your gentle presence and kind heart comforted us during tough times, reminding us that we were never alone.

As we prepare to say goodbye to the old man you’ve become, I want you to know how deeply you will be missed. May you chase endless fields, track the sweetest scents, and bask in the sun, just as you did here with us.

Thank you for the laughter, companionship, and countless memories. You will always hold a special place in my heart, Captain. Until we meet again, my dear friend.
