Happy 8th birthday to Reisling!! I’m sure getting groomed and wearing a silly hat was not on her list of birthday wishes, but she definitely enjoyed the extra treats! Happy birthday girlie 🥳

Rolled leather collars ❤️
These are lovely, Canadian Amish handmade leather, super soft, smells wonderful (iykyk). These collars dont damage the dogs coat. Come in three sizes (sorry, they don’t come in tiny dog size) 14”-18”, 18”-22”, 22”-26” in brown and black. I have a few of the small and medium in stock, and happy to add some more onto an upcoming order. Email me if you’d like one or to order.

Stuff! I’ve been bringing in more items for retail sale, things I really like that I think others will too. This picture is not up to date, but gives an idea of the little store I have going on at the shop.

My focus is Canadian companies, and with a few exceptions, everything is made in Canada 🇨🇦

Beef liver/lung/chicken hearts made in Salisbury NB, Smack is made in Manitoba, Tripett made in BC, scent vessels made in BC, tugs/leashes/collars made in BC, etc… Lots of great stuff!

Available for purchase in class/at grooming appointments, or message me and I’ll make it happen!

If you’re in a class with another teacher - no problem! But there’s a process - you must text or FB message me with the items you want and the listed price before you can leave with the item(s). I don’t live on my phone so I may not see the message while you’re there. I will respond as soon as I can with the total you owe, which can be sent by etransfer. Please, no leaving the shop with items without having messaged me.

Long lines! I have 1/2”x10’ black and pink sure grip long lines in stock. I love these. They are nylon with rubber mixed through the middle. Really easy to grip, while still being lightweight and easy to handle. I also have some super lightweight biothane 10’ leashes in black. All made in Canada 🇨🇦
I will be ordering more colours soon. If you would like a colour other than black or pink, or would like a thicker one, email me to get in on the order.

Update! - sure grip is sold out. Just the biothane left in stock. I will order more, let me know if you’d like a specific colour :)

Scent students!!
Need a little kick in the butt to get practising outside of class? Starting March 15 and running until April 26 I have a little challenge to encourage everyone to get out and do some searches!

A private FB group will be created for participants. In order to stay in the group, you must post at least one video of your dog searching a new location each week. Videos will be due each Sunday, and you cannot repeat a location. You can absolutey meet up with friends, set hide(s), and multiple dogs can use the same location.
Searches do not need to be difficult, or pretty. No judgement! The only goal is to get you and your dog out searching in new locations.

The park or school down the road, dads garage, neighbours shed, other neighbours car, pet friendly stores, the sky is the limit!

Video cutting your head off and half sideways? Who cares. Let’s all see each other getting out there and trying! And I, master of not practising myself, will join with Grail.

The ONLY requirement is to post one video of your dog searching in a new location each Sunday.

The incentive? For each video of a new location posted (you can post as many as you like, they just must be a new location for it to count) you get entered in a draw to win 🥁 🥁 🥁 a $100 gift certificate for class!!! And smaller prizes for 2nd and 3rd place.

That’s it. Practise scent outside of your home once a week for six weeks. Which you need to do anyways. So why not do it with each others support and maybe win something?

Huge thank you going out to Shauna Slobodian with Pawsitively Fit Canine Rehabilitation & Wellness for coming and teaching two intro to canine fitness seminars this past weekend! My mind was blown, I certainly learned a lot, and had a ton of fun! Shauna is great at explaining they why’s and how’s and why nots. I certainly feel much more confident with fitness safety. Thank you Shauna!!
