🐾 A Little Update on Future Pricing 🐾

I wanted to give my Bark & Bath family a little notice that future price increases will be coming to Katie’s Bark & Bath.

Since opening, I have done my best to keep all previous prices, however since starting I have greatly increased the hours and inflow of products provided.
This isn’t a decision I’ve made lightly. I want to explain why so you can see what goes into the service you and your dogs receive.

🧴 Higher-Quality Products 🧴
I’ve made the decision to use higher-quality professional grooming products, including but not limited to Ukal Canada. Because I believe your dogs deserve the best. These products come at a higher cost, but they contribute to better coat care, skin care and overall results which is my core for pet grooming. As well as still providing free bandanas and pictures even at a cost to myself, I would like to continue doing so.

✂️ A Higher-Quality Finish ✂️
I’ve continued to improve the overall performance and quality of each groom, and I’m proud of the difference in each pet that has come to me. I’ve had many clients say that their dogs’ grooms look polished, professional and long lasting. I need my pricing to reflect the time, skill and attention that goes into achieving that finish that everyone loves.

🐶 One-on-One Grooming 🐶
A very important feature.
I will continue to remain a one-on-one groomer, focusing on one dog at a time. This allows me to give your dog my full attention and provide a more personalized, quality groom—but it also means I simply cannot groom the same number of dogs in a day as I am accustomed to, and therefore costs more for the time. I am currently priced greatly lower than local salons that are not one-on-one grooming, and one-on-one can typically be much more expensive.

I truly want to remain one-on-one, because I believe it provides a better experience for both the dog and the client, and this is something most of you have voiced is very important. However, my prices need to reflect the quality, time and finish I am providing.

It is unfortunately something I can no longer put off, as I was hoping to wait a bit longer. But positively, things are progressing quicker than anticipated!
I’m incredibly grateful for your continued support and for trusting me with your dogs. ❤️ My goal is always to provide the best care and best groom possible, and I’m excited to continue improving what Katies Bark & Bath has to offer! 🐾✂️

Some extra information for my upcoming hosting of APL ❤️

Running a business in the public eye means receiving many opinions — some supportive, some curious, some kind, and some based on misunderstandings.

So I want to clarify what we actually do.

Our service is cosmetic teeth cleaning maintenance. We remove visible buildup from the surface of the teeth to help keep mouths cleaner between veterinary dental visits. We do not diagnose disease, treat infections, work below the gumline, or replace professional veterinary dentistry. If we ever see anything concerning, clients are always referred directly to their veterinarian.

Maintenance can help limit heavy accumulation and keep pet parents aware of changes in their pet’s oral condition.

Every pet and every family is different. Some pets cannot easily undergo anesthesia, and some owners are navigating financial or medical limitations — but veterinary care remains essential and we encourage it whenever needed.

If anyone has genuine questions about our process, I’m always open to respectful conversation.

Education helps animals. Hostility doesn’t.

APL is a WIDE AWAKE cosmetic teeth cleaning with no groggy doggy!

Cosmetic teeth cleaning is perfect for in between Vet visits or general maintenance for your pet teeth.

APL is well-known and well trusted by myself and my colleagues. I have had my own personal dogs teeth done with Melissa and learned so much about the inside of my dog mouth that I didn’t know.

Currently open Saturday-Wednesday with Thurs-Fri off.

I want to ensure every pup comes in when they are due to avoid any skin issues and matting.
