Kamloops Regional Kennel Club We're bringing dog shows, sports, training and clinics back to Kamloops! You don't have to own a purebred dog to join us. Holding a dog-friendly event?

PM us, and we will post it for you here. We are a group of dedicated dog sport enthusiasts working to give dog lovers access to information, advice, and an opportunity to hang out with others who are passionate about their canine companions. You don't have to own a purebred dog (or any dog) to join in an array of fun and informational events for Kamloops dog lovers. We also want to know about any other dog focussed events happening in the region! If you have a dog-friendly event you'd like to post, PM us and we will post it for you here!

Our pets are just as impacted by wildfire smoke as we are. Dogs at higher risk include short-muzzled breeds, senior dogs, young pups, and dogs with heart of lung disease.

Of course, any dog can be affected. Watch for warning signs such as: coughing or wheezing, labored or noisy breathing, heavy panting, red, irritated eyes, unusual fatigue, loss of appetite or refusal to drink.

To protect your pets, keep doors and windows closed and your pets indoors. Skip long walks and intense outside play until the air quality improves. Run an air conditioner or air purifier to keep inside conditions as comfortable and clean as possible, and (as always) provide plenty of fresh drinking water.
