Charlie is a sweet, outgoing little guy who loves people and is happiest when he can be by your side. Whether you’re heading out for a car ride, relaxing on the couch watching TV, or simply going about your day, Charlie would love nothing more than to be included!

Charlie is doing well with his house training, and happily settles in his crate. He hasn’t had experience walking on a leash yet, so he’ll need a little patience and guidance as he learns this new skill.

Rhu is a sweet, sensitive girl who takes a little time to decide that someone is her friend — but once she does, she is an absolute lovebug and she will become your shadow. She can be shy and cautious when meeting new people and would much rather have someone give her the time and space to decompress, sniff, and approach on her own terms.

Once Rhu feels comfortable, her playful and affectionate personality really starts to shine. She loves spending time with other dogs, especially those around her size, and enjoys getting out for walks and adventures. She is also doing wonderfully in the home and arrived already house trained.

Rhu is looking for a calm, patient family who understands that trust is built gradually. She would do best with older children 12+ and a fenced yard where she can safely explore and relax. She does not need another dog in the home, but would happily have a canine friend.

Rhu may not be the dog who runs up to greet you on day one, but give her the time she needs and you’ll discover a sweet, loyal girl who has so much love to give.

🐾 DAY 5 WITH FLUKE 🐾

Fluke has been here 5 days and we’ve learned a few things:

✨ 55 lbs of love ❤️
✨ 💯 convinced everyone he meets is his new BFF
✨ Great with dogs and loves to play
✨ Crate trained + 95% house trained
✨ Knows sit and down
✨ Walks pretty darn well on leash
✨ Very smart and eager to please

And then there’s the jumping. 😂

Fluke is still working on remembering HE is not actually a lap-dog, despite what his heart tells him.

He’s a high-energy young guy who needs an active family, a detached home with a good-sized yard and someone willing to keep up with his training and exercise needs.

A playful dog sibling could be the cherry on top. 🍒🐶

Kids 6+ and dog-savvy, please. Cats are still under investigation. 🕵️‍♂️

Basically, Fluke is a big goofy puppy who needs someone to help him turn all that enthusiasm into excellent manners.

And honestly… he’s off to a pretty great start. ❤️

GATOR JACK IS ADOPTED!!

Earlier in the summer, Jack had a sleepover with one of our fosters, Jasmine. She was smitten with him, and considered adopting, but he had an application in progress and it wasn’t the time.

We were extremely sad when his adopter backed out. Twice this happened to him. But some things are meant to be.

The stars aligned, and Jasmine knew that it was time to bring him home.

He will go home this weekend, where he’ll stay for all his golden days 🩵

Roxy is a fun-loving, social girl who seems to love everyone she meets! She is friendly and affectionate with people and enjoys nothing more than being part of the family, whether that means getting out for an adventure or settling in for some snuggles.

Roxy loves other dogs and has a playful, enthusiastic style. She gets along with all kinds of dogs and would happily have a canine companion to play with, but she is also perfectly capable of being your one-and-only.

She’s an easygoing girl who is house trained, walks well on leash, does well in her crate, and has no noted separation anxiety or resource guarding. Her biggest area to work on is simply learning to contain her excitement when greeting people, as she can get a little jumpy.

Roxy would be a wonderful addition to just about any loving home. She’s happy, playful, affectionate, and ready to find her people — preferably ones who don’t mind a little extra enthusiasm and lots of love!

Eden is a happy, affectionate girl who greets life with a whole lot of enthusiasm! She absolutely loves her people and is always ready for an adventure, whether that means going for a walk, hitting the trails, playing in the yard, or simply hopping in the car for a ride.

Eden is friendly and outgoing with people and loves meeting new friends. She’s eager to please and walks well on leash, although her excitement can sometimes mean she forgets to keep all four paws on the floor. She also enjoys playing with other dogs, especially those who can match her energy, but she would be perfectly happy being the only dog in her home.

This girl has a zest for life, and would make an excellent hiking, running, or adventure companion. As an active puppy, Eden will need basic obedience training. Eden is also a talkative girl and would not be suited to apartment or condo living.

🐾 Meet Snickers! 🐾

Foster Day 4, and this little guy is already showing us what a smart, loving and very handsome boy he is! ❤️

And based on this photo, we’re pretty confident Snickers has already won the awards for
🏆 Best Balance and
🏆 Best Snaggle Tooth Smile.

A few things we’ve learned about this sweet guy:

✨ Smart and learns quickly — knows sit & lie down and practicing recall
✨ Loves his people and is VERY happy to meet new ones
✨ Loves walks and absolutely thrives on routine (working on leash manners when we see other dogs )
✨ Crate — whines a little but settles nicely and sleeps through the night
✨ Playful and LOVES his squeaky toys
✨ Doing great with his 6-year-old dog savvy foster brother
✨ Overall, a very loving and loyal little guy who has already made so much progress in just four days!

Snickers is still getting settled and learning about his new world, so his foster family is giving him the time, patience and encouragement he needs to keep finding his confidence. ❤️

✨ ADOPTED ✨

Gator Jack • $99 Adoption Fee

Gator Jack has been waiting months.

We’ve watched other small dogs come into our care and receive application after application, while this little frosty-faced guy has had almost no interest. We’ve even had two approved adopters for Gator Jack who ultimately decided not to move forward.

And it breaks our hearts, because Gator Jack is such a good dog.

At around 9 years old and 15 lbs, Gator Jack is the perfect little companion for someone looking for a dog who is happy to simply be by your side.

He’s incredibly sweet and, for the most part, very low maintenance. He’ll happily snooze around the house and keep you company, but don’t let his age fool you; this senior boy still has plenty of s***k and life left in him. He loves his walks, enjoys playing fetch in the yard, and is always happy to be included.

He’s just… easy. Sweet. Happy. Loving. And so deserving of a home of his own.

He does have a heart murmur and takes daily medication that costs approximately $100/month. We know that ongoing medication can be a consideration for adopters, and we completely understand that it isn’t something every family can take on.

But we also don’t want his medical needs — or his age — to be the only things people see when they look at him.

Because we see the little dog who still gets excited for his walks.

We see the guy who will play fetch in the yard.

We see the happy little senior who is perfectly content to curl up and snooze after a day with his people.

We see Gator Jack.

And we really, really want someone else to see him too.

So we’ve reduced his adoption fee to just $99 in the hope that it might help remove one more barrier and get this boy the attention he deserves.

Gator Jack doesn’t need everyone to choose him. He just needs one person to look at his frosty face and say, “That’s my dog.”

He’s already spent too much time waiting.

Let’s find him his person.
