Today is day 58 of incubation and the first childreni baby is out! One had pipped yesterday by the time I had returned home from work, another pipped overnight. 7 more to go! This one was out in a hurry! These babies are much larger than the perthensis babies too. So much pattern compared to the adults. Can't wait for the rest to emerge!

Today is day 47 since Cersei laid her clutch and I guess it's time! 4 years in the make and a long wait for eggs this year but they're here! Unfortunately one egg went bad and this little has a birth defect so it hasn't been perfect, but there's still 5 more babies coming that should pip in the next couple days. So excited for these little cuties to come into the world!

Big surprise this morning from Tabitha! She was acting weird the last couple nights so I was expecting it after noticing Cersei act similar a few weeks ago. I was hoping for 12 but I'll happily take 9 good eggs with little embryos and zero slugs. In the last picture I compare the children's python eggs to the pygmy python eggs and the difference is surprising, in that there really isnt much difference. Mid to late August and we'll see baby Children's pythons!

Came home from work last night to the most incredible surprise! In the last few days Cersei had finally started using her lay box as a hide instead of hiding underneath it so I knew something was coming but she finally did it! 7 beautiful eggs with 7 beautiful embryos developing inside! No slugs and momma is doing great! 50-60 days and some tiny adorable baby pygmy pythons will enter this world and all of our hearts! Elation only begins to describe how I'm feeling right now!

Tabitha shed last night, I guess this is her pre-lay shed? My research suggests eggs should arrive ~23 days after this shed, however we're nearly 3 weeks past that 23 days for Cersei. 🤷‍♂️

The anticipation is killing me! Still no shed from this girl but Cersei just shed again this weekend so about 3 weeks now. Both have stopped eating and both behave and appear very gravid. Just lay already!
