Wood Buffalo Animal Rescue Committee Wood Buffalo Animal Rescue Committee is ran completely by volunteers who have dedicated their time and love to help rescue animals in need.

Wood Buffalo Animal Rescue Committee is an organization dedicated to helping animals across the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo as well as all surrounding areas. The rescue was formed to help the remote community of Fort Chipewyan with the over population of stray animals and animals that needed to be re homed. Over the last couple of years it grew into a bigger mission and helping animals in all the surrounding area of Wood Buffalo.

Adoptable Jackie Update 🩷 🐾

Now that Jackie has been in foster care for just over a week, her true personality is starting to shine! ✨

This sweet girl has become much more confident and is the ultimate little shadow, always following her humans or her foster fur sibling, Berkley, wherever they go. She absolutely adores Berkley and would thrive in a home with another canine companion to help continue building her confidence. 🐶

Jackie is already:
✅ Crate trained
✅ House trained

Her foster family is currently working on her leash manners, and she’s also beginning a healthy weight-loss journey.

⛳️🩷 A huge thank you to Christina McQuilter and PTC Golf for giving WBARC the opportunity to sell tickets for our Father’s Day Blackstone Griddle Raffle at the Fore the Ladies Classic!

We’d also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the golfers who purchased tickets. Thanks to your support, we sold $800 worth of tickets and have only 15 tickets remaining! 🎉

We’re beyond excited to share that our bonded pair, Koda & Bowser, have been adopted TOGETHER! ❤️🐾

Finding loving homes for our “older” dogs can be more challenging than placing puppies, and finding the perfect home for a bonded pair can be an even bigger challenge. That’s why we’re sooo excited to share that Koda & Bowser have found their forever family and are settling into their new home together with their new fur sibling! 🏡

A huge shoutout to their incredible foster family for opening their hearts and home to these two and loving them like their own while they waited for the perfect match. ❤️

As always, we couldn’t do what we do without our amazing fosters, adopters, and supporters. Thank you for helping us give dogs like Koda & Bowser the happy endings they deserve. 🐶💕

This adorable girl is ready to find an active family to call her own! Born on November 15, 2024, Jackie is still very much a puppy and has all the enthusiasm, curiosity, and energy that comes with it.

Jackie is new to being back in our care, so we’re still learning more about her personality. She gets along well with other dogs and would be best suited in a home with older children.

This young girl has lots of energy and will thrive with a family committed to providing her with exercise, playtime, and continued training. The good news? Jackie is already kennel trained.

If you’re looking for a fun-loving, active companion, Jackie might be the perfect addition to your family. ❤️

HAPPENING TOMORROW!

Sipping Pretty YMM x WBARC - Join Allison & Anne Marie on Sunday, June 7, 2026 for a fun HIGH Fitness class in support of the Wood Buffalo Animal Rescue! 💪🐾

UPDATE: Due to the wet weather conditions, we’ve made the decision to move the HIGH Fitness class indoors to the SMS Turf at Mac Island. We will be postponing the Meet The Adoptables portion to another time. Thanks for understanding and we can’t wait to see you tomorrow! 🩷
