Wood Buffalo Animal Rescue Committee Wood Buffalo Animal Rescue Committee is ran completely by volunteers who have dedicated their time and love to help rescue animals in need.

Wood Buffalo Animal Rescue Committee is an organization dedicated to helping animals across the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo as well as all surrounding areas. The rescue was formed to help the remote community of Fort Chipewyan with the over population of stray animals and animals that needed to be re homed. Over the last couple of years it grew into a bigger mission and helping animals in all the surrounding area of Wood Buffalo.

Ember went on an adventure! 😍

Happy belated birthday to Tyler, who spent his special day taking adoptable Ember on an adventure with his pup, Berkley! ❤️ A big thank you to Tyler & Mackenzie for including Ember!

Ember was a little nervous at first and enjoyed the beginning of the walk at her own pace on her long line. But once she warmed up, she was rolling around, playing, and having the best time with her new pal, Berk!

💭 A little about adoptable Ember:

Ember is a friendly, easygoing girl who does well with dogs, cats, and people. She’s adjusting beautifully to home life and is looking for a family who will help her continue to learn and build confidence. Having previously free-roamed around town, she’s also learning to adjust to kennel life and making great progress.

Meet sweet Azalea! Formerly known as Robin, this beautiful girl first came into our care as a puppy and was adopted. Through absolutely no fault of her own, Azalea has recently found her way back into foster care — and she’s settling in wonderfully with her foster family while she waits for her forever home.

At just 5 months old, Azalea is already such a wonderful little lady! She’s well-mannered, eager to learn, and knows all her basics — sit, stay, down and come!

263 days and Peaches is still searching for her forever home. 💔

Peaches came into our care pregnant, and just days later, welcomed her babies into the world. Her puppies have all found their forever homes, and now it’s finally Peaches’ turn.

Peaches has been spending her time in foster living her best life—heading to the lake, playing with the kids, and hanging out with her fur foster sibling, Leia.

She’s a quirky, sweet girl with big ears, an even bigger personality, and so much love to give. She’s blossomed into a confident, affectionate pup who loves outdoor adventures just as much as cuddling with her people.

Her favourite pastime? Laying on her back and playing with her toys over her head. And of course, treats are absolutely her love language!

After being such an amazing mama, Peaches is ready to be someone’s baby now. ❤️

Miss Azalea is looking for a volunteer dog walker to help her burn off some of that puppy energy while her foster mom is at work! 💗

Azalea is a playful girl who does great on leash and absolutely LOVES a good sniffari! 🐶
