💛 A Farewell to Shyanne 💛 she's off to College!

Today we say goodbye to someone very special to our herd — both two-legged and four-legged.

Shyanne started volunteering with us at *just 10 years old*. She walked in as a little girl with a big heart for horses, and today she leaves us as a remarkable young woman heading off to pursue her studies in *Animal Sciences*.

This was her last day in our Youth Program.

Over the years, Shyanne has been one of our most dependable volunteers. Every Saturday, rain or shine, she was here. She didn't just show up — she extended herself. She helped facilitate our Events & Therapy Programs throughout the Niagara Region, built beautiful relationships with fellow Volunteers, and most importantly, with the Rescues.

*Houston* was her first true connection, followed by *Gracie*. But anyone who knows Shyanne knows she shared equal compassion for them all.

She was young when she started, but was very familiar with what Rescue & Sanctuary truly means and always strived for the best for every single one.

From all of us at Last Chance Horse and Pony Rescue and Sanctuary — the volunteers, the team, and especially your herd who will be looking for you on Saturdays — *we are going to miss you very much.*

We are so proud of you, Shyanne. We wish you an abundance of success, joy, and learning on this next chapter. Your future in Animal Sciences is so bright, and we know you will make a tremendous difference.

This is not goodbye, just see you later. Our gates — and our hearts — are always open to you.

With love and gratitude,
The LCHPR Family 🐴💛

🐴 CALLING ALL LOCAL BUSINESSES & COMMUNITY FRIENDS! 🐴*
Donate to Our Penny Raffle - Hooves & Harvest Fundraiser

Hi there!
My name is "Kas" from *Last Chance Horse and Pony Rescue and Sanctuary* - Canadian Federally Registered Charity .

We are so excited to be hosting our *Hooves & Harvest Fundraiser* on *September 19, 2026* and we’re looking for donations for our *Penny Raffle Sale*!

*Your donation helps The Rescues:
Every gift goes directly to caring for our rescued horses and ponies — providing feed, veterinary care, shelter, and rehabilitation. It also supports our community programs including Youth & Teen Volunteer Programs, therapy visits, educational tours, and outreach that connects generations through the healing power of equines.

*Your donation helps YOU too:*
1. *Community Visibility*: Your business name/logo will be displayed at the event and on our raffle prize table.
2. *Goodwill*: Show your customers you care about animal welfare in Niagara.
3. *Tax Receipt*: Charitable tax receipts issued for donations of $20 and over.

We gratefully accept: gift cards, products, services, experiences, gift baskets, and event tickets. Every prize, big or small, makes a difference!

If you’d like to partner with us, please message us here. We would be happy to arrange pickup at your convenience.Another option! You can arrange to set up a booth at Hooves & Harvest, reach out!

Thank you for helping us make a difference, one hoof at a time 🐴♥️

🌟 **MEET STAR & BUTTERSCOTCH: An Unbreakable Bond!** 🐴🐐

Sometimes, the most unexpected rescues steal your heart the fastest. Everyone, please welcome our two newest (and most inseparable) residents to Last Chance Horse and Pony Rescue and Sanctuary!

# # # 📖 Their Story
Earlier last week, the Fort Erie SPCA was contacted about a loose pony and goat wandering together in Ridgeway, Ontario. Last Chance was called in to assist with their safe transportation. Upon assessment, they were in relatively well-kept condition, but the most striking thing about them was their profound bond: *where one goes, the other follows.* We safely transported them to the Fort Erie SPCA, and media releases were put out to try and find their rightful owners. Heartbreakingly, an entire week quickly passed, and no one came looking for them.

# # # 🏡 A New Beginning
Today, we officially picked them up, and they are now safely settling into their new home with us! Our youngest youth volunteer member, Audrey, had the honor of choosing their sweet new names: **Star & Butterscotch**. ✨🍬

# # # 🌾 The Reality of the Rescue
While we are overjoyed to offer them a safe, forever home, taking in emergency rescues comes at a high cost. The addition of Star and Butterscotch has brought an **unexpected additional feed bill of $2,920.00 annually** to the sanctuary.

On top of their daily feed, Star and Butterscotch are in immediate need of **dental and farrier work**. Getting their teeth and hooves looked after is absolutely imperative for their overall health, comfort, and well-being.

# # # 🚨 We Need Your Help!
Please, please, please donate toward their feed and medical care. They need all of our support and help to get healthy and settled into their new lives. Every single dollar makes a difference in ensuring their troughs are full and their needs are met.

# # # 🗓️ Come Meet the Duo!
Our gates will be **WIDE OPEN this coming Saturday from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM**.

We would absolutely love for you to drop in, say hello to our newest residents, and consider making a donation in person.

**Can't make it out this Saturday?** You can still help give Star and Butterscotch the fresh start they deserve by donating today at lchpr.org

Thank you for always standing by us and helping us provide a safe haven for animals who have nowhere else to go. Let’s show Star and Butterscotch how much our community loves them! ❤️🐎🐐
