🐾 Patient Spotlight: Shelby 🐾

Shelby visited us after she suddenly started limping. After a thorough examination by Dr. Katie, everyone agreed that taking a closer look with radiographs (X-rays) was the best next step to see what was going on beneath the surface.

The X-rays revealed that Shelby had two metacarpal fractures (broken bones in her paw).

To get her on the road to recovery, our team immediately:
- Administered pain relief to make sure she was comfortable.
- Placed a secure splint bandage to stabilize her paw and let the healing begin.

Shelby was a superstar patient. We will be seeing her back in a week for a bandage change and a reassessment! ❤️‍🩹

October is Fundraise for Farley month! ✨

Farley Foundation provides pet owners with financial assistance to be able to afford essential veterinary care. Our clinic has been fortunate enough to be able to utilize these funds to help our clients, so this year, we have set a goal to fundraise at least $1500.00 for this worthy cause!

The proceeds from every nail trim we perform in the month of October will be donated to Farley Foundation.

Our client services team will also have the option for you to donate and have your name posted on our donor wall of fame 🌟🐾

The clinic will be closed this Saturday, October 3rd for our annual staff appreciation event. 🐾

This special event is our way of saying thank you to our incredible team for their ongoing dedication, compassion, and hard work throughout the year.

Please note that we will not have on-call services available that evening, as we want all of our staff members to be able to participate in the celebration.

If your pet requires an appointment or prescription refills ahead of time, we encourage you to contact us in advance so we can assist you before the weekend. Our on-call services will resume on Sunday, October 4th at 8:00am.

The Hillsburgh area is currently experiencing a hydro outage. Hydro One estimates time of restoration to be 8:15. Please note that we do not currently have phone or internet service while the hydro is out. We will update this page once we are back up and running.

September is Animal Pain Awareness month! 🐾

Pain in our pets isn’t always obvious. They may hide it or show subtle changes in behaviour, mobility, appetite, or energy.

Regular wellness visits can help us catch these signs early and create a plan to keep your pet comfortable and happy. We offer a variety of pain control options such as over the counter supplements, prescription medications, laser therapy, acupuncture, and monthly chiropractic services with Dr. Roxane Pardiac!

Dr. Pardiac still has appointments available for this coming Thursday, September 10th! Contact us if you want to book your pet in!

Because every pet deserves to feel their best! 🩵
