🌡️🐾 Extreme weather calls for plan changes.

When it’s too hot, your dog’s safety comes first. On extreme heat days, walks may be shortened or swapped for a potty break, indoor enrichment, playtime, and fresh water.

A little less exercise is always better than risking heat exhaustion. Keeping your pup safe is, and always will be, my top priority. ❤️

We’ll be closed on Wednesday, July 1st to celebrate the holiday with our families.

If you’re enjoying fireworks, don’t forget that many pets aren’t. ❤️ Here are a few ways to help keep them calm and safe:
🐾 Keep them indoors before the fireworks begin.
🐾 Close windows and curtains to reduce noise and flashing lights.
🐾 Play calming music or turn on the TV for background noise.
🐾 Make sure collars and ID tags are on in case they become startled.
🐾 Offer a cozy, quiet space where they feel safe.

Today’s adventures included puppy cuddles, puppy zoomies, and a shoe disappearance that was found in the mouth of a very proud little thief. 🤭

☀️🐾 Hot weather reminder for all pet parents!

As temperatures rise, it’s important to remember that our pups feel the heat too. What may feel warm to us can be dangerous for them, especially when it comes to hot pavement and long walks in the sun.

🐾 Under 25°C – Normal walks
🐾 25–30°C – Shorter walks with plenty of water and shade
🐾 30°C+ – Quick potty breaks and indoor enrichment are often the safest choice

Don’t forget the 7-second pavement test: if you can’t comfortably hold the back of your hand on the pavement for 7 seconds, it’s too hot for your dog’s paws!

For summer walks, early mornings and evening adventures are the way to go.

Your dog’s safety and comfort always come first. 💛🐶
