I couldnt help myself, knowing that butters needs me to help him get rehabilitated, I couldnt shake the fact that we left that session on a bad note. So we went back out to try a game of fetch before trying our disapline routine again and it went great! Butters got some energy out and managed to listen to his recall with a faster recovery time with distractions at that! 😊 im very happy with this turn of events. This could mean the key to his recovery. ❤️ I cant wait to find out.

At Canine Culture, we are honest about our progress and I dont only post the good moments. Sometimes we just have a bad day. Sometimes we make mistakes. While using the long lead and maintaining a safe distance, butters saw a dog up close. Your dog can be an excellent listener and still mess up. Does this one instance mean that hes an aggressive dog? Does this mean he doesnt deserve a chance to do it over? I see people turn and walk away instead of offer to let their dog be apart of it, fair. If I didnt know any better I would too but I do know better. We should be supporting eachother in our journeys to a better life. This is today. Tomorrow is a new day. Progress not perfection. ✨️🐕🐾

Butters is NOT:

Food aggressive...
Dog aggressive...or
Fearful of Children.

Butters IS:

Afraid of loud noises...
Unsure of his place in the pack...
Scared of men...

⚠️ PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE REHOMING A DOG ⚠️

I need to say something that is incredibly hard to talk about, but it is necessary. If you are rehoming a dog, especially if you are listing it as "free to a good home"—you need to be aware of a horrific reality.

There are people out there actively looking for "free dogs" to use for meat. Yes, I said it. To eat.
This isn't a scare tactic. It is happening. When you post a dog for free, you are opening the door to anyone with ill intent. You cannot assume that everyone who responds has good intentions.
Do NOT skip the screening process. You must do your due diligence:

1. Ask for References: And actually call them. Ask for a vet reference.

2. Ask for ID: Verify who they are.
Get a copy of their driver’s license.

3. Do an Inhome Check / Home Visit: Ensure they can actually afford to care for the animal. Ask for a video tour of their home and yard.

4. Charge a Rehoming Fee: Even a small fee (e.g., 100) deters people looking for free meat. Do not waive it.

5. Meet in Person: Never let the dog go with someone you met only online without meeting them face-to-face first.

Please share this. It could save a life.

Butters has came along way since he first got here. Ive been assigned the task of rehabilitating and rehoming Butters to the right owner. So if anyone is interested in getting to know more about him, he is looking for his forever home to an experienced owner who can provide him the right structure that he needs. Ill take any questions, comments or concerns. Please share so we can reach his new owner. 🙏✨️🐕🐾❤️ Thank you!

Meet Butters ❤️

Butters is currently in rehabilitation after coming from an environment that left him fearful of many of the people, places, and experiences around him. Despite his difficult start, he is showing us every day that he wants to learn, grow, and trust again.
His journey won't be a quick one, and we're committed to finding the right forever home rather than the fastest one. We're looking for someone who understands that healing takes time and is willing to continue building his confidence through patience, kindness, and positive experiences.

As Butters progresses, I'll be sharing regular updates, training sessions, milestones, and videos so everyone can follow along on his journey. My hope is that by watching his progress, the right person will eventually see the incredible dog hiding beneath the fear.
If you've ever considered adopting a dog who deserves a second chance, or if you'd simply like to support Butters' journey, follow my page for daily updates and videos.

If you think you might be a potential match for Butters in the future, feel free to send me a message. At this stage, I'm happy to start conversations, answer questions, and arrange appropriate meet-and-greets for serious adopters.

Every dog deserves someone who sees their potential. Let's help Butters find the person who sees his. 🐾
