Goodbye my little Sweet Pea Miesel. Daughter of Milkweed and Diesel, she was the last surviving hammy of the 2nd Miesels litter. Born late 2017, she was only a few months short of 4 years old. Chinese hamsters' lifespan on average is about 2 years so she had a very long and eventful life. Like her dad (who lived past 4!) she was strong and curious. Like her mom she loved to dig lengthy tunnels any chance she got and loved her humans. She became so close to me that by the end she crawled into my hand when she was too tired to continue, and I held her until she passed.

Introducing Cera and Pippi Squeak!

Our two newest little girls. Brought home around the holidays they are still getting used to their new homes. They were okay leaving their littermates and cuddling together at first, but as they got more comfy they needed their own spaces so now live apart. Can hear them chirping to each other still once in a while. They're both so curious and friendly. Fabulous additions to our lil hammy family.

Not exactly news, but they are more optimistic and overall way happier with more cage comforts

If your pet hamster nearly bites off your finger as you try to stroke its fur, don't assume it hates you. Maybe it's just in a bad mood.

Stormageddon has discovered how to beg for seeds. I am greeted with this now every time I walk by. He's usually successful... how can I say no to this wee face?! 😂🐭❤️
