Happy New Year from Nightshade Cattery! 🎉
Dear friends and fellow cat lovers,
As we welcome 2026, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the past year and share some updates from our cattery.
2025 brought its share of challenges, including the heartbreaking loss of our imported Oriental Shorthair queen, Damla, and an unexpected issue with our Sphynx girl, Newt, requiring an emergency spay. These experiences, while difficult, reinforced our commitment to the health and well-being of our cats above all else. We are profoundly grateful for the support of our veterinary team and the guidance from respected mentors in the breeding community.
On a brighter note, we were thrilled to welcome CK, a stunning lilac Oriental Shorthair stud, to our family. His exceptional temperament and conformation make him a wonderful addition, and we look forward to showing him in the coming months.
Looking ahead to 2026, we are excited about the evolution of our program. We plan to introduce a Donskoy female and incorporate Peterbalds, while continuing to produce our beloved hairless kittens alongside our Oriental Shorthair lines. Our next OSH litter is anticipated mid-summer—stay tuned for updates!
Thank you for your continued support and interest in Nightshade Cattery. Wishing you and your feline companions a joyful, healthy, and prosperous New Year!
Warm regards,
Nightshade Cattery ❤️
