Oh, The Life of Olivia. I'm Olivia an 14 years young (Terrier X Lab) diagnosed with Idiopathic Epilepsy at 9 mths. Her first seizure at home was on May 25th 2011.

Olivia was adopted from a local shelter in Eastern Ontario, Canada on February 19, 2011. Since that time, she lives with daily focal seizures, mostly fluttering of her eyelids. Every 20 to 30 days Olivia experiences Grand Mal seizures, sometimes in clusters. Rapid changes in the weather seem to be a key trigger. Olivia is administered three different AED's (Anti Epileptic Drugs) twice daily. A thi

rd drug, Keppra is given immediately after a Grand Mal seizure to prevent clusters. It should be noted that Olivia did try other alternatives such as Chinese Herbal Medicines to manage her epilepsy and currently, with her Veterinarian's support & guidance is seeking information on CBD's. We hope that, 'Oh, the Life of Olivia' will provide awareness of the issue of Canine Epilepsy & provide support to those who live with it.

Olivia was a brave, joyful soul who lived with canine epilepsy & still filled every day with love, laughter, & a little bit of mischief.
From her very first leap onto huMom’s bed to becoming a guiding light for all of us, Olivia’s paw prints are forever in our hearts.🐾💜🐾
