Tuesday's Memory from September 8th 2017🐾💜🐾

Olivia loved to visit the old train station that sit's in the Fairgrounds. You can read on the board behind her that the last train to arrive was in 1965💜

Let’s send Epilepsy Warrior Tuck of Tucker’s Tail pawsitive energy & strength to keep those seizure from coming on🐾💜🐾

Not how we wanted the day to go but Tucker had a mild seizure about 45 minutes ago.

I had just put on my painting clothes and was going to paint the inside of my front and back doors and I heard him get off the bed. As soon as I could hear him moving around but not coming out here I knew what was going on and grabbed his lead and went into my room.

He had went in between my two dressers. This may have been a good thing because it kept him upright and he never went down into the paddling he does with a full grand mal.

I got the lead onto him and got him out and he was darting around in circles and tried to get onto the bed but only got his front part up where he stayed for a little bit panting. He then started shaking his head which is a sign he is shaking it off and coming around.

He shook his head a couple more times and then got off the bed and was wagging his tail and could see again. He wasn’t panting heavy or pacing like he does after a full grand mal. I checked his temp with the ear thermometer and it wasn’t elevated.

We came to the kitchen and I got him his rescue meds. I always start him with just one clorazapate and two regular keppra. The clorazapate is very hard on his body so we will only do the one as long as he doesn’t have any more seizures but he is prescribed three at a time if he is having a major event.

He had some salmon and I threw some kibble around the living room which he walks around looking for and it helps distract him.

He went outside and used the potty and is now laying down. He is twitchy so I am not sure if he is done or not yet but he didn’t do the hour or so of pacing and anxiety that he has after a full seizure.

His last full seizure was on 8/21. He did have some focal seizures and neurological activity on 8/31 but we gave him the single clorazapate and two regular keppra that day and it seemed to stop it and he never ended up having a seizure.

We will spend the rest of the day relaxing and hope that he doesn’t have any more activity.
