Veteran Overnight Maintenance
August 25

Please be advised to ensure continuation of service for the MV Veteran there is some overnight maintenance required throughout the night of August 25.

At this time it is expected that the work will be complete before Wednesday morning however, shall difficulties be encountered there is a chance the vessel will have a delayed start on Wednesday August 26.

As dynamic performers whose traditional and original songs reflect our collective experience, they’ve toured every inch of the province; as educators, put thousands of students in touch with their cultural heritage; and as world-class touring artists, travelled hundreds of thousands of miles to bring our story to the globe. Multi-award winners with over a century of experience in the business between them, their latest CD, Wooden Boats, is an homage to our seafaring history.

Notice Sunday 9:00 pm ferry Schedule

Please be advised that tomorrow, Monday August 10 the service will follow the 2 Vessel Summer schedule with the Veteran and Beaumont Hamel.

The Sound of Islay will be completing regulatory inspections throughout the day and will remain on standby. The vessel may move to/from farewell throughout the day to facilitate the movement of inspectors and technicians.

Please continue to monitor 511 for vessel updates.

Notice Vessel schedule Change

The Transportation TI and Transportation Committee and Council have been in discussions. Here is the new schedule .

Please be advised we are making the below schedule change and vessels will update 511 with timing shortly:

Beaumont Hamel and Veteran will follow 2 Vessel Summer schedule (Veteran on direct and Beaumont on combine)

Sound of Islay will switch to direct crossings for Fogo Island.

Vessels will uodate 511 accordingly.

Notice: Vessel Update:
The schedule for Saturday and Sunday will be as follows:

Sound of Islay will depart Change Islands at 0700 for Farewell and commence combined load and go.

Veteran will follow its side of two vessel schedule completing directing crossings commencing at 0700

Beaumont Hamel will commence direct crossings at 0800. Will run load and go with a mid day break to take fuel.
