There are a lot of miles between Michigan and Manitoba, but it takes the whole trip for things to sink in after we finish up at Ravenna Auction LLC.
As horse breeders, we raise what we want to ride. We do our best to periodically incorporate new bloodlines that will complement our existing program, but above all, we stay true to our foundation of good, using quarter horses with trainability, durability and versatility. At the end of the day, we want to personally be happy with the horses we are handling at home, so that’s what we work to produce.
✨When people express any amount of appreciation for our program, it’s an affirmation of that goal.
✨When those people become buyers, it’s incredibly gratifying.
✨When those buyers become repeat buyers, fans and cheerleaders, it’s an absolute honour.
✨When we look up from our pen of colts and realize that the faces looking back are those buyers, fans and cheerleaders, but somehow along the way they became our friends, that’s downright awe-inspiring.
Call us sappy, but these horses did that for us.
These people did that for us.
🫵You🫵 reading this post. You did that for us.
To those of you who took home a new Clay Ranch horse this weekend: congratulations and thank you.
To those who supported our sale as bidders, spectators, social media share-ers and well-wishers: thank you.
To our entire spread-out Clay Ranch team and our always-got-your-back Ravenna Auction team: thank you.
To all of the buyers, cheerleaders and friends that our horses have introduced us to along the way: thank you.

There certainly are a lot of miles between Michigan and Manitoba, and even though Mother Nature is treating us to a beautiful display this year, we think these relationships are the most beautiful thing of all. ❤️
