Something a little different this weekend.

We entered a local car show:
Wings and Wheels (vehicles of all kinds; classics, muscle cars, hot rods — and small planes!)
I brought my lil Mazda B400 (BT50)

And both dogs

Wonderful opportunity for exposure and socialization for both dogs.
They both did very well.

Some of the things encountered / handled:

Small prop- planes coming in and being positioned nearby (noisy!)

Music and announcements over loudspeaker throughput the day

Bagpipe marching band; tuning up right next to us, then marching past nearby

Police vehicle with lights and Sirens displaying within a meter of us

BIG crowds, general milling about and talking.

On their own, they each did very well with ignoring other dogs. When I had both out at the same time, she was bark-reactive twice. Need to work with them more on this.

Both gave polite greetings 100% of the time; Only when invited to “say hello” and they were all short, friendly; tail wagging, nose (and tongue 😛) to person’s hands, then away and calm. They consistently took a turn, then allowed the other a turn.

It was a great day out and I was quite pleased with my girl’s progress (still a pup at 2.5year!) and overall level. It also served as a good test and way to highlight areas for more practice/training!

I wasn’t able to get pics while out walking /handling them — had my hands full!

But here are some pics from “chill time” back at the vehicle.
