Big Paw Spa Big Paw Spa is home of the Bernese Mountain Dog show groom and your puppies introduction to grooming I specialize in grooming Bernese.

I have been grooming Bernese for the dog show world several years now. I am also a Breeder of Bernese Mountain Dogs and know the importance of having your dog professionally groomed, especially your puppy. Your dog will be with me from the time they are dropped off to pick up. I don't place dogs in crates with dryers and leave them unattended. I dry each dog individually by hand with a forced air professional dryer. Your dog needs to be comfortable in a grooming tub and on a grooming table, and comfortable with the dryer. If you believe your dog has grooming anxiety then I suggest you book your appointment on a Sunday when I can have an assistant present to ensure your dog doesn't injure itself. Choose the service based on your dogs age and grooming requirements. Message me if you have any questions.

Always a bittersweet groom when Bruce comes in. ❤️ I miss his mom, Vida, more than words can say, and seeing a little piece of her in him makes these visits extra special.

Thankfully, Bruce is always a good customer! If anything, he’s a little too relaxed and seems to think the grooming table is his personal lounge. Why stand for a blowout when you can stretch out and enjoy the full spa experience? 😂🐾

Some dogs take their spa time very seriously. Bruce? He’s mastered the art of doing absolutely nothing while someone else does all the work. ❤️

This was my first time grooming Sarge with his new coat, and wow… what a difference! He certainly gave me plenty of beautiful, fluffy coat to work with. ❤️🐾

She enjoyed a good bath followed by some serious deshedding—because apparently she was determined to leave half of herself behind. 😂

All that fun in the great outdoors may have left her a little dusty, dirty and decidedly camping-dog-ish, but a good spa day soon had her looking fresh, fluffy and fabulous again. ✨

Today was one extreme to the next! 😂

Tufa came in from Drumheller and confirmed what every Berner owner knows… the great pre-winter coat explosion has begun! This boy is blowing coat like he’s personally responsible for preparing all the Berners for winter. Fur was flying! 🐻💨

And then there’s Bonnie. She’s already shed her locks and is rocking a much more naked appearance. Clearly, Bonnie has decided she knows something the rest of us don’t. 😂

Tufa: “Must grow ALL the floof!”

The pack of four was back today for another round of spa time! 🛁🐾✨

We got to experience the extremely shy side of Sophie today—she was having absolutely none of the paparazzi and wouldn’t even let us get a photo of her! 😂📸

Lexxi, Chico and Nugget, however, were more than happy to step in front of the camera and show off their freshly groomed looks. 🥰

All four are clean, trimmed, fluffed and smelling spa-sensational! ✨🐾

Now he’s soft, shiny, fresh and smelling great! ✨

Stubborn as he can be, we worked through a few of his protests and, much to his credit, he actually was a very good boy today. 😉😂
