Beautiful 13 year old Max is having a tough time getting up and down and into the car these days, so his pawrents were referred to us by their great vet at Presqu'ile Animal Hospital for a Help Em Up Harness to help him get around a little easier🥰.

Today we fitted him in his new gear and he’s ready to take on the world with his family by his side to help him!💛

Sweet little senior girl Olive is recovering from an injury, but didn’t want to be left behind on walkies with her brother💛. Her Mama reached out and we got her hooked up with a stroller so she can still sniff the fresh air and join the adventures while she heals! ❤️‍🩹

Brace yourselves for this cuteness overload… introducinggg Pete, the special needs Silkie rooster!💛

Sweet Pete was born with a condition called splay leg (or spraddle leg). It is a developmental deformity, primarily in chicks, where one or both legs are splayed outward, preventing the bird from standing or walking normally.

Unfortunately, Pete did not have the proper correction done when he was a chick so his bones hardened and left his condition permanent. He was in a very loving home, more spoiled than most dogs. Unfortunately his mom needed to go away for medical purposes and knew she would no longer be able to care for him once she returned.

Thankfully Rescued for the Role committed to taking him and is now working on finding him the perfect forever home!💛

Thanks to your ongoing support, we were able to help Pete out by purchasing a special “chicken wheelchair!” It arrived very quickly and Pete has been getting used to the feel of his new wheels in hopes that he’ll be able to use them to get around by pushing his little leggies once he gets the hang of them! 🥰

CAR RAMPS AVAILABLE!🐾💛 We have had quite a few generous donations of ramps, which are super helpful for senior pups!

If a ramp would be helpful for your dog, let us know! I’d rather them be used than sit in storage 🥰. No delivery or shipping for these items unfortunately, pick up is in Brighton, Ontario.

Louise!🐾💛

Sweet Louise was diagnosed with Degenerative Myelopathy and has lost some use of her hind end and bowel control, but still has her zest for life and loves her walkies!

Sometimes through our program, we are reached out to by families who are too far away to be able to come to us to pick up supplies, so this is one way that your help and support with our supply fund comes in! For families in need within Ontario, we have been able to help cover the cost of a wheelchairs and other supplies to ensure the animal gets what they need to live a happy and comfortable life with their condition🥰. Louise is one of those lucky and very thankful pups!🫶🏻

After chatting with her family about her needs, we were able to find an appropriate wheelchair on Amazon for her that would arrive quickly, and thanks to our supply fund we were able to cover the cost so she could get it ordered and be strutting around on her wheels the next day🙌🏼❤️.
