Making for Mary Crochet and Crafts

10/23/2026

There’s something special about the way creativity and connection can open doors you never quite imagined. 💜

New ideas. New relationships. Fresh inspiration. A little bit of magic happening behind the scenes.

Sometimes you just have a feeling that something great is coming… ✨🧶

Beer-inspired crochet? Hold my yarn!!! 😂🍺

This custom order came out swinging! 🐙🥊🤣

Between prepping piggy kits for Haute Goat, I had another character taking shape — a requested custom order inspired by the “Octopus Wants to Fight” character from a Great Lakes Brewery b**r can!

This one was all about the details: four boxing gloves, little bandages, and those wonderfully grumpy eyebrows.

I love the challenge of turning someone’s idea into something they can hold. This fellow might be looking for a fight, but he’s pretty hard not to cuddle. 💜

My cup is overflowing after an amazing afternoon at Haute Goat! 💜🐷

We gathered around the table with yarn, crochet hooks and a few little piggies in the making—and I left feeling so grateful.

Sharing ideas, watching each creation take on its own personality, and connecting over a shared love of crochet… these are the moments I love about Making for Mary. 🧶

Thank you to everyone who joined me, and to Haute Goat for hosting us in such a lovely space. It was wonderful to create together while supporting the Northumberland Humane Society. 🐾

Crochet. Create. Connect. Today was all three. 💜

My heart is full and my shelves are empty again!💜

What a weekend at the Roseneath Fair

I came home tired in the best possible way — with fewer handmade pieces, a whole lot of lovely conversations, and that wonderful reminder of why I love doing this so much.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Making for Mary booth, chatted with me, picked something up, shared a story, or simply took a moment to admire something I made. Every little interaction means more than you probably realize.

There’s something really special about seeing things I’ve made with my own two hands head off to new homes, and even more special when I get to meet the people taking them there.

And a big thank you to Caffeinated Squirrel Coffee & Angry Beaver Tea for all the work that went into making such a wonderful weekend happen. 💜

Roseneath Fair you were so good to me.

Now it’s time to rest these hands for a minute… and then start filling the shelves again for the Peace of Home Holiday Market. 🧶✨
