PPP BREEZE OF HORTON ~ Beetle
sustained a Radial Nerve tear in May of 2025 and when she didn’t naturally absorb her foal, it made me feel like this was her way of telling me not to give up on her. She gave me her sign that she wanted to fight, so we stuck it out and did as much as we could for her and her unborn foal.
Hauling her to a vet off the property wasn’t exactly an option for fear that she might not be able to handle the trailer ride. So we did as much as possible for her at home! From learning how to KT tape for support, asking ourselves over and over if we were being selfish or doing right. It was a roller coaster! But Beetle never gave up so we didn’t either, we took a gamble and had a couple of Magna Wave treatments done, we were careful as to where it was applied as to avoid interfering with the growing foal. * highly recommend finding someone who is knowledgeable with this machine because amazing things can be done with it and the right education *
We got hooked up with Monica Kippers, and this lady; let me tell you what! When after the second treatment with Monica we let beetle go and she bucked 😣 I had all the stress and anxiety! Monica was a life saver in our little program.
Time and the right team of support and therapies has gotten us to where we are today and we are THRILLED to show the progress and report that mare and foal are both here and healthy and thriving! A whole year of many emotions and feelings and second guesses, was worth it! This mare owns a special place in my soul now, and her filly is pretty darn cute to! Long story short Always go with your gut! Sometimes it’s the best advice you can find!
If you made it to the end of my long winded novel I am thankful to you! And hope that you never experience one of these injuries.
