Join us for a 3-hour CKC Obedience Workshop focused on developing the foundations that make obedience successful — both in training and in the ring.
🧠 First Hour — The 4 Concepts Behind Good Obedience
We’ll explore four essential concepts I use when training and preparing dogs:
Engagement • Clarity • Proofing • Reliability
Understanding these concepts helps us create dogs who understand the job, want to work, and can perform reliably in different environments and situations.
🐕 The remaining 2 hours — Putting it into practice
We’ll work on common obedience challenges, including:
• Heeling & focus
• Recalls & stays
• Proofing around distractions
• Handler mechanics
• Building precision and reliability
Expect demonstrations, practical exercises, troubleshooting, and individual work.
Whether you're training for competition or simply want better, more reliable obedience with your dog, this workshop will give you practical tools and a deeper understanding of the training process.
