Yesterday, the Van Isle family lost a very special man.
Taylor’s Dad, Gary, passed away and there are simply no words big enough for the space he leaves behind.
Gary was woven deeply into the fabric of Van Isle Doodles for so many years. Countless puppies were loved, nurtured and cared for by him and, without exception, the dogs adored him right back. He had a calm steadiness, a quick wit, a huge heart and the kind of quiet generosity that made everyone around him feel safe and welcome.
He was also endlessly funny, full of nicknames and stories and the sort of person whose presence filled a room without ever demanding attention.
We will miss Gary more than words can say.
But what a gift it has been to know him, laugh with him and share so many years, dogs and memories together.
A truly good man.
And a very loved part of the Van Isle family. Our hearts are shattered and our thoughts with Taylor's family.
We know Raisin was waiting for Gary along with the other friends we've lost. Paws Up Gary - rest in peace surrounded by wagging tails and endless puppy dog kisses.
