I’m seeing so many dog trainers online wearing tactical atire or uniforms.
Their dogs adorning over the top harnesses, prong & e-collars, looking ready for war.
What is it your trying to portray?
Intimidation to fear, force or cause pain?
Not sure why these training practices are so prominent within the “pet” dog population.
Since when does a family houshold need a canine soldier living among them?
We should be teaching clients to understand their dogs for who they are as a species. Working with science based training techniques using positive reinforcement.
Forming partnerships, instilling manners, proper dog etiquette in social situations and gaining respect from both sides.
When sourcing a dog trainer please do your homework. Look for accredited and humane training practices.
Make sure the training is fulfilling your needs, the family needs and the needs of your dog/s effectively and without aversive training tools or methods.
