Farewell summer, hello fall! 🍂 Wow, what a busy season it was this year! We had a record-breaking 26 birds boarding at once on July 4th, and 23 on August 2nd. Thank you to all of our new and returning clients for trusting us with your feathered companions this summer. We loved meeting so many new friends and reuniting with familiar faces we haven't seen in years!
Now that the seasons are changing and we're heading into cozy season, here are a few updates:
🥦 Fresh Chop Add-On
Many of you have asked if we can supply fresh food, as produce brought from home often doesn't last an entire stay without spoiling. We are excited to announce that we will now offer fresh chop once daily for an extra $2–$5/day per bird (depending on size). Your bird will get to enjoy the exact same high-quality chop that Elmo, our Eclectus, eats! Our ingredients rotate regularly but always include a raw mix of 4 to 6 different bird-safe fruits and veggies.
🗓️ Streamlined Pricing (Per Day vs. Per Night)
To keep things simple and consistent, we are shifting all of our rates to a per-day basis rather than per-night. Because add-ons like medication and fresh chop are managed daily, matching the boarding rate to a daily schedule streamlines everything.
Moving forward, our boarding rates, medication fees, and fresh chop fees will be calculated per calendar day, regardless of your drop-off or pick-up time within our standard 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM hours. Please note: This will not affect currently scheduled stays, it will only apply to new bookings moving forward.
🎄 The Holidays are Coming!
As the end of the year quickly approaches, so does the holiday season! We are already 30% booked for the Christmas season, so if you plan to travel, now is the time to reserve your bird's spot.
Please note that we will be closed on Christmas Day (December 25th) so that we can spend the holiday with our family and flock. No drop-offs or pick-ups will be available on this day, so please plan your booking dates just before or after the 25th!
