The devastating situation at CFB Wainwright is a national tragedy that has deeply affected the Canadian Armed Forces community and their families.

Our thoughts are with the Canadian Armed Forces members and the families who have lost loved ones. We know that these events can activate current and past trauma in our military, veterans, and their families.

To support our local military members, past and present, and their families struggling with the impact of this tragedy we open our doors to them this coming Saturday afternoon October 24th, from 1 to 3 PM. Spend time with Canada’s Heritage ponies and partake in our research-based Equine Assisted Learning exercises  with our Cartier/Dreamwinds certified EAL facilitators, where you will experience grounding and mindfulness, rebuild trust and emotional regulation all in a nonjudgmental environment. 

We do ask that you register in advance by sending us a message through Instagram or Facebook.

The session is sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary Branch 109 and Poppy’s Haven.

Yesterday our smallest ‘Newfoundland Pony’ spent the afternoon with Amanda and her little helper. Five hours later, Charlie emerged a new man! Farm Dog Professional Grooming did an amazing job and Charlie was as patient as ever 🐶❤️
