Our first full moon of 2026 arrived early this morning. This moon is also known as "๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐ช๐ผ๐น๐ณ ๐ ๐ผ๐ผ๐ป". ๐บ
The name comes from old winter lore in the Northern Hemisphere. In deep winter, food was scarce, nights were long and wolves were heard howling outside villages, calling to one another across the cold ๐ฅถ
So the Wolf Moon became associated with instinct, community and listening inward. Survival was found through softness, togetherness and community. ๐ฉต
I like to call it the "๐พ๐ค๐ฏ๐ฎ ๐๐ฅ ๐๐ค๐ค๐ฃ"... It's in the astrological sign of Cancer - which is really all about emotions, inner reflection and nervous system regulation.
You may have been feeling some of it's energy lately! I know I have ๐ I've spent many days doing creative activities like painting, drawing and mixing up fun things with my essential oils, like bath bombs and shower steamers! Nervous system regulation time for me after a busy year โฐ
The winter storms have also encouraged nights spent cozying up with a warm blanket and a good book, writing in my journal and enjoying the glow of candles and sparkly lights ๐ ๐ฏ๏ธ
It truly is the time to rest, release and recharge for the year ahead! โบ๏ธ
This Moon is the emotional doorway into a year that will later roar with ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ฒ ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ด๐. ๐ฅ

there must be containment.

Full moons are also the perfect time to release what no longer serves you... so with this moon, perhaps a little ritual to let go of what you don't want to carry forward into this New Year.
I like to write a list of all I want to release, bless it, burn it and let the ashes float out to the Universe for healing .... ๐ฆโ๐ฅ
