💛 MEET FIONA—THE FORGOTTEN MAMA WHO FINALLY DESERVES HER HAPPY ENDING 💛

Fiona’s rescue story began several years ago, when she was found abandoned in a field with a litter of newborn puppies. Despite having nothing herself, this devoted mama kept her babies safe until they were rescued.

All of Fiona’s puppies were adopted as babies and went on to find their happy endings—but Fiona was placed in a shelter, where she remained for more than THREE YEARS. 💔

Her babies found their families as wee pups. Now, after waiting so patiently, we are determined to give Fiona the happy ending she has always deserved!

This absolute ANGEL recently arrived into our rescue, and she is BEYOND ready to meet her forever family!

Fiona has been growing accustomed to her new life in Canada, and she is an absolute ANGEL who will steal your heart in an instant!

Fiona is a “Velcro Dog” in the making. She has so much love to give, so much life to live, and her favourite activity is simply being by your side—doing whatever you’re doing.

💜 Life with Fiona 💜

Fiona is a mature, low-energy pup who LOVES to snuggle beside you. She will pick her moments to play with toys, but her favourite thing to do is CUDDLE and soak up all the love she can!

Fiona is a Pointer mix who embraces every day with enthusiasm. She enjoys daily walks, loves getting treats, and wants nothing more than to sleep IN YOUR LAP—ALWAYS! She will also give you the gentlest hug while you scratch her face. She would happily stand in that hug all day if you let her. You may never be allowed personal space again!

Fiona will happily join you for walks, hikes, outdoor adventures, games of fetch, or simply spend the day relaxing near her humans. Body-on-body contact is a MUST—her favourite spot is literally right next to you!

Fiona has completed crate training, is working on her basic commands, has a great understanding of potty training, and continues to improve her leash manners. She is incredibly eager to learn and highly FOOD MOTIVATED!

With consistency, structure, and positive guidance, Fiona continues to blossom every day.

Fiona is a gentle soul who asks for only life’s simplest pleasures: a warm bed, a dependable daily routine, and plenty of SNUGGLE TIME!

She forms deep bonds with her people and wants to be around them always. Her easygoing and incredibly sweet disposition could make her compatible with so many different families.

Rescue has finally given Fiona safety—but it cannot give her the one thing she wants most: a family to call her own.

After surviving abandonment, raising her babies, and spending more than three years waiting in a shelter, it is finally Fiona’s turn to be chosen. ❤️

🐾 Dog Friends 🐾

Fiona is fabulous with other dogs! She has been socialized with pups of various breeds and sizes and is friendly, respectful, and easy to be around. After some playtime, she loves nothing more than curling up in a puppy pile beside her friends.

She is honestly a DREAM—very easygoing and always happy to meet new furry friends!

Fiona absolutely loves playing fetch and going for walks. She loves to SNIFF everything along the way, and she will even bring the ball back to you to keep the fetch fun going!

Fiona has also been successfully participating in home visits with other dogs. We believe a quiet, easygoing household with a family who is home often would be the best fit for her.

Fiona could be happy in a multi-dog household OR thrive as the only dog in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention for herself!

Our rescue team will carefully guide all introductions to ensure everyone gets off to the best possible start.

Fiona will flourish with someone who is calm, easygoing, and a homebody. She truly loves being glued to her people, so a busy family who regularly works long hours away from home may not be her best fit.

🐾 MEET SKYE — A LOTTERY DOG IN EVERY SENSE 🐾

Skye is a beautiful 4.5-month-old Kokoni mix with an old soul, a gentle heart and an extraordinary ability to make everyone she meets fall completely in love with her. 💜

Skye’s story began when she and her littermates were found dumped at just a few weeks old. Thankfully, a compassionate local animal lover brought them to the nearest shelter, where they could receive medical care and a safe place to stay. Skye spent the first few months of her life sharing a kennel with several of her siblings and a few adult dogs—and that experience helped shape her into the wonderfully social, intuitive puppy she is today.

Since joining our rescue just over two weeks ago, Skye has been instantly accepted by every dog she has met, big or small. She seems to instinctively understand how to adjust her approach depending on each dog’s personality, giving playful friends the energy they’re looking for while respectfully giving quieter dogs their space.

Her love isn’t reserved for dogs, either—Skye adores every person she meets! Adults, children and everyone in between are immediately greeted with her gentle affection and sweet, loving nature. We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this little angel. She is what we lovingly call a lottery dog! ✨

🐾 Life with Skye:

Skye is playful and ready for adventure whenever you have time for exercise and attention, but she is equally happy to settle down for a cuddle while her people work or relax at home. Her incredible ability to “read the room” allows her to mirror the energy around her beautifully. She is intuitive, adaptable and remarkably smart—especially for such a young puppy!

She is already well on her way to becoming fully house-trained and has also mastered using p*e pads indoors. Her crate training is also going wonderfully: she settles fairly quickly and is slowly getting comfortable eating, sleeping and enjoying quiet time in her crate.

Skye’s leash manners are excellent, and she happily heads out for a walk whenever the opportunity arises! 🐕‍🦺

🏡 Skye’s Perfect Home:

One of the most special things about Skye is how easily she could fit into almost any loving household. She would be equally comfortable living in a condo, apartment or house and could thrive with a family, couple or individual. She would also make an INCREDIBLE match for first-time dog owners! Whether her future home is active and adventurous or calm and cozy, Skye will happily match the rhythm of her people.

Skye currently weighs approximately 10 lbs and is expected to be around 25 lbs when fully grown. Although she may look like a tiny German Shepherd, her breed mix and growth so far suggest that she will remain a small-to-medium-sized dog.

🩺 Skye’s Health:

Skye is healthy and fully vaccinated for Rabies, DHPP and Bordetella. She will be spayed at the age-appropriate time through our partner veterinarian, as outlined in her adoption agreement.

Skye is truly a once-in-a-lifetime kind of puppy—sweet, affectionate, playful, intelligent and wise beyond her months. All she needs now is a forever family lucky enough to call her their own. 💜

MADDOX IS ADOPTED! ✅

Back in June 2026, Maddox met his forever family after they saw him on Petfinder and IMMEDIATELY fell in love! This boy found the world’s most PERFECT DOG CHAMPIONS. He waited exactly a year for this moment, and the wait was WORTH IT! 🥰

We saved Maddox from Lemnos Island in Greece, along with his brother, King, who is still awaiting adoption. Maddox grew up in the shelter since he was a puppy — so he didn’t have the strongest start to life. He was a nervous dude who took time to trust, but once he did, Maddox’s affection was unlike anything else. He would paw at you and would be glued to your side! This sweetheart needed people who were experienced dog owners. People who would respect the time needed for Maddox to warm up along with engaging resources like training to set him up for lifelong success!

Enter Glenda, Andy and family — who immediately knew Maddox was their next dog! They were looking for their third pup, and we learned that Maddox and their current GSD, Macy, had similar pasts and rescue stories. The family knew what to do — they knew this was forever with NO OPTION of turning away. When Maddox met their current pups, Maggie and Macy, they understood him. They waited patiently for him to befriend them, and soon enough, he was following their lead! Within days, Maddox was SOARING in his new life, and adoption was made official!

Today, Maddox has a dream life with people who love him, every kind of activity, two loving sisters, and a busy life between home and the office. He is turning into a brand new dog we don’t even recognize — and THAT is a testament to the loving home and humans he found. A happily forever after! 🥹

Atlas is a shy, gentle dog with a world of potential—and he is searching for a patient, loving family that will help him continue to blossom.

When Atlas first arrived in our care, the world felt like a very frightening place. He was extremely timid and unsure of the people and environments around him. But after more than two months in a calm, loving foster home—with someone we lovingly call the *shy dog whisperer*—Atlas has made incredible progress. 🥹

His foster family has given him the stability, consistent routine, and gentle encouragement he needed to begin coming out of his shell. They allow him to move at his own pace while thoughtfully nudging him toward new experiences whenever his comfort and confidence allow. Little by little, Atlas is learning that the world can be safe—and that people can be trusted. 💜

🐶 Atlas absolutely THRIVES around other dogs!

He is a frequent daycare guest at Dogtopia of Aurora Village, where he happily plays with dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and personalities. Atlas has truly learned “how to dog” by watching and mirroring his canine friends. He is at his most confident, carefree, and joyful when surrounded by his dog pals!

Because other dogs provide him with so much reassurance, confidence, and companionship, we feel Atlas would be happiest in a home with at least one friendly, well-adjusted resident dog who can continue showing him the way.

🐱 He’s wonderful with cats, too!

Atlas currently shares his foster home with two resident cats and has been consistently polite and respectful around them. In fact, it took him only a few days to earn full snuggling privileges! 🥰

🏡 Life with Atlas:

• He walks beautifully on leash, keeps a comfortable pace, and does not pull
• He has been consistently doing his business outside
• He knows “sit” and has good recall
• He travels very well in the car
• He is calm, quiet, and a snuggle cuddle-bug at home
• He is comfortable with everyday household sounds—even the vacuum doesn’t bother him!
• Loud or unexpected noises outdoors can still frighten him
• He is crate training and settles much more easily when another dog is nearby
• When left completely alone, he may bark or cry for some time and will need continued patience as he builds confidence and independence
• He may initially bond more strongly with one person, so everyone in the home should participate in his care and relationship-building

Atlas would love a home with a securely fenced yard, but his relaxed indoor personality could also make him suitable for a condo or apartment—as long as his family can provide regular outdoor time, enrichment, and thoughtful exposure to the world around him.

Most importantly, Atlas needs kind, patient people who understand that trust cannot be rushed. He may not walk into his new home ready to be everyone’s best friend—but with consistency, compassion, and a confident canine companion by his side, he will continue blossoming into the wonderful dog we already know he is.

Atlas isn’t looking for someone to change who he is. He is looking for a family who will celebrate every brave step, honour his boundaries, and show him that he is finally safe, loved, and home. 💜

🎊 DAKOTA IS ADOPTED! ✅

Back in June 2026, DAKOTA (formerly Callie) was adopted into a loving family! 💜

We rescued Dakota from unfortunate circumstances when she was a young puppy. Despite this, Dakota showed PERFECT POTENTIAL, and she was ready for a life with a dedicated owner who could match her high energy with LOTS of activity! Very quickly, she won the heart of someone looking for their first pup — and everything was a PERFECT FIT!

Today, Dakota enjoys a full family life with lots of play, adventure, and unconditional love — everything a dog could ask for! 🥹

FOREVER WALL UPDATE #5💘

We are so excited to be adding 11 NEW PUPS TO OUR FOREVER WALL!

Each of these pups have been OFFICIALLY ADOPTED between April and August 2026! It has been a BUSY adoption season for us, and this is always the best news to share! 💜

Whenever a dog gets adopted, we take them off the ADOPTABLES BOARD and add their tile to our FOREVER WALL! We hope to fill our entire breezeway with these tiles as our rescue missions continue! 💕

Each of these pups lived under our care for a period of time before finding their forever homes! It’s an honour for us to have been a part of their journey home!
