We had no idea what this year had in store for us. A particular president banned TikTok - which ended up being temporary. My heart hurt knowing all of the dog rescues that post on TikTok would now be limited trying to save dogs - it started with a let me post from Canada- let’s connect I’m here to help! Then our group grew shrank and grew . Fundraised, transported, stayed in 💩 motels across the states bcs they allowed dogs that also did a lot of 💩 lol Shannon Lowe. Memories were made. Funds were raised, friendships became steadfast and BEST OF ALL WE SAVED DOGS! We have grown and changed so much and look forward to 2026

What we do always starts in one of our kitchens. Often mine. This saint of a man who is happiest in a life clear of clutter and chaos chose me as his wife. 😂
Tomorrow we’ll be doing something little different - attending a market thats more boutique chic! Stay tuned. Thanks Higgs. The dogs and ladies of Apawthecary appreciate your patience.ys

Meet Browen… now Sailor. At our market today many people asked where the money goes from the products we make and sell. This sweet girl is a perfect example. She caught my eye in May, grossly emaciated and noted as “emaciated remains”. Not even recorded as a living animal. If we didn’t step in her life was over. Tagged from a high kill shelter at 13 pounds, recorded weight at the rescue we worked with to get her healthy enough to pass import medical exams at 16 pounds. She has this very special spark in her that’s undeniable in every picture and interaction. She reminded me that every single creature values their life immensely but for her it wouldn’t continue without our support. Sailor’s story is the summary of why we work so hard doing what we do. It still puts a lump in my throat seeing the condition she was in when we found her Check back to learn more about her and where she is today.
