Your pet has a smart home. But do they have a human? 👀🐾

Straight from the August edition of The Paw Print:

Pet technology has come a LONG way.

Automatic feeders. Smart fountains. Cameras. Treat tossers. Self-cleaning litter boxes.

Pretty clever stuff. 🤖

But here’s the thing…

Technology can help with pet care. It can’t replace human care.

A camera can show you that something isn’t quite right.
An automatic feeder can dispense dinner.
But neither can step through the door, notice your pet is acting differently, offer reassurance, or give them the human interaction they may be missing.

As we enter September, we’re also encouraging pet parents to start thinking about those fall routines now. Our regular dog walking and in-home pet care schedules begin filling as families head back to work, school and busy routines.

Today, we’re tipping our cowboy hats to a woman who spent a lifetime reminding us to dream big, work hard, be kind, and never be afraid to be exactly who we are. 💕

Dolly Parton wasn’t just an icon, she was an inspiration to generations.

So, in her honour, here’s a little reminder from one tiny set of paws: you may be small, but never underestimate what you’re capable of. 🐾💫

Run with it, little one. The world is yours to explore.

Straight from the August edition of The Paw Print, we’re spotlighting Abbotsford’s newest neighbourhood park, which officially opened July 29.

Located on McKee Road, this hillside park brings trails and some pretty spectacular views over the mountains and city.

We say: leash up your adventure buddy, grab your proper shoes 😉 and go see what all the sniffing is about!

🐾 Just remember to follow posted signage and City of Abbotsford - The Hub Of The Fraser Valley leash requirements where applicable.

Farmhouse Brewing co. new Sumas Flats location in Abbotsford gives locals another outdoor option where pups can tag along with their people.

Because we’re always on the lookout for places where two-legged AND four-legged family members can enjoy a little Fraser Valley time together.

Straight from the August edition of The Paw Print, we’re introducing you to -O-Pup, a Chilliwack-based Canadian pet business putting a pup-safe spin on the cozy hot chocolate experience using carob instead of chocolate.

When Nicole and Tannis started chatting, they discovered they had WAY more in common than expected, including connections to Canadian Pet Care Professionals, different career paths that eventually led them into pet businesses, AND connections to CBC’s Dragons’ Den. 🐉🐾

Apparently, the Canadian pet industry really is a small world!

In this episode of Off Leash, Jennifer from Furryornot Petcare Pet Sitter and Dog Walker Abbotsford BC talks with host Andrea Dinan about what quality pet care actually looks like day-to-day: why she leaves calming music and "bird TV" on for anxious pets, why a good dog walk isn't measured in steps, and what she genuinely wishes clients would do differently.

It's an honest look at the small decisions that separate a professional from someone who just likes animals, including the ones clients never see.

🎉🐾 Help us wish Charlie B. a very Happy 4th Birthday! 🐾🎉

Four years old and still our handsome, high-energy black shepherd heartthrob! 🖤🐶 Since joining the Paw’ty Waggin’ crew, Charlie B. has kept us entertained with his big personality, endless energy, and very strong opinions, especially when things aren’t happening quite fast enough for him! 😂

From splashing in the water 💦trying out treadmills, to barn-ratting 🐀, PW adventures are his fav hanging with his favourite girlfriends, Charlie B. knows how to make every outing an adventure. And underneath all that sass? He’s one big bundle of love, kisses, and loyal energy. ❤️
