A friendly reminder to all dog owners in The Bahamas: dog licences are required and must be renewed annually.

✅ Spayed or neutered dogs: FREE with proof from a veterinarian
🐶 Intact dogs: $11 annually

Licences can be obtained from the Ministry of Agriculture and Marine Resources, One Montague Place, East Bay Street—Third Floor, Cashier’s Window, opposite Montague Beach.

As we prepare to celebrate our nation’s independence on July 10th, we encourage all pet owners to take a few extra precautions to keep their furry family members safe and comfortable during the festivities.

Fireworks, large gatherings, loud music, and increased activity can be stressful for many pets. A little preparation can go a long way in preventing accidents, escapes, and anxiety.

🐶 Pet Safety Tips for Independence Day:
✔️ Keep pets safely indoors during fireworks and celebrations.
✔️ Ensure collars and ID tags are secure and up to date.
✔️ Provide plenty of fresh water and a cool, comfortable place to rest.
✔️ Never leave pets unattended in vehicles.
✔️ Create a quiet, safe space where anxious pets can relax.
✔️ If your pet suffers from severe noise anxiety, speak with your veterinarian before the holiday.

Today we celebrate 5 amazing years of Larenzo being part of the Happy Pets family! 🎉🐾

Larenzo first joined Happy Pets as a high school student completing work experience, and from the very beginning it was clear that caring for animals was truly his passion. Over the years, he has grown from a Veterinary Assistant into also becoming cross-trained in grooming, always bringing dedication, patience, and compassion to every pet he meets.

His love for animals shines through in everything he does, and so many of our clients and patients have come to know and love him for his gentle and caring nature.
