Today I visited Billet and Harlow 💕 Two beautiful black labradors who have reached their golden years.

Their owners are a young couple with kids who are short of time but big on love for their dogs and doing the best for them.

Having made a trip to Harlow after a bad joints flare-up, they have now formed a long term plan with me to make them more comfortable as they age.

I’ll visit them weekly for 4 weeks to administer arthritis injections to start with and we’ll assess whether to then continue them monthly. We’ve also discussed a range of other options for arthritis, should they need them.

It’s my pleasure to help these sweet two souls and help their owners give them the quality of life they deserve 💕

This is gorgeous Autumn relaxing in her favourite spot after a visit from me.

Autumn was rescued one year ago and has since settled beautifully into her perfect forever home. She has gained confidence - but putting her into a cat box to drive her to the vets would be a very traumatic process.

Her owner reached out to me. I took it gently and let her come to me as we talked. I then very gently examined her, in stages, on her terms in her bed. With the help of my cat treats, and my gentle approach, she allowed me to inject her vaccination.

I was touched that she then approached me afterwards and was happy to be gently weighed.

I’m so glad I could save her the stress of a vet trip. Her owner has booked in for the next visit and I already am looking forward to it. She really is an adorable cat.

Anxiety around vet visits is a very common reason for owners to seek my home visit help 🏡

Trips to a clinic can bring a profound anxiety in both the patient, and owner alike.

By having visits at home, we are in the comfort of the pet’s home and I get to understand a much broader understanding of a pet’s life.

The owner doesn’t have to face the anxiety of getting their pet into the cat box/into the car, drive to the clinic, get in through the clinic doors, stay in the waiting room (with other cats, dogs and unusual smells) then into the consulting room and beyond.

Instead the pet and owner rest at home and wait for me to arrive 🧘🏻‍♀️

Anxiety is something familiar to me. Having navigated it myself for many years, I recognise it, am comfortable with it, and can relate to it. It is a profound, full body sensation which can last for days. I love that I can help reduce anxiety in my local community and make one aspect of life that little bit easier for my patients and owners 💕

I've just made my first business donation to a koala-focused charity! This time it was Queensland Koala Society Inc 🐾🌈

Giving back is important to me and my business. I care passionately for the environment and for preserving wildlife.

Giving a portion of profits to a Koala charity was part of my vision for Vet To Me. I'll be aiming to give 1% of my profits monthly.

It feels good to create a ripple of positivity from my work, and help Koalas, who so desperately need our help.

I hope my clients can feel even better about using my services, knowing they are helping Koalas. I'm sure my patients would love this idea - if they knew😊

Willow is a South African Mastiff and I’m blessed to call her one of my regular patients 🥰

Having had several surgeries on her knees, and countless visits to vets, she developed anxiety about going to a clinic.

Her parents saw the beauty of home visits after my first visit them, and how much less stress it was on Willow, and on them.

I now visit to give regular injections, prescribe as needed, trim nails and help guide them towards Willow’s best possible life.

I’m so grateful that they found me. Willow is a very special girl and she and her family are a joy to help 💗

This is Harley 💗, the senior black Labrador who I visit monthly for her arthritis injections. Whilst I’m there, I also examine her, trim her nails, bring along her liver supplement and make observations about her quality of life.

Her lovely working & studying parents (also of two young kids) are rarely there when I come, but I’m greeted by the grandparents and communicate by email.

I am honoured to be trusted with managing Harley’s health and wellbeing for them, giving them peace of mind and one less being to worry about 💕

It brings me joy to look after Harley and help this beautiful family. I also look after their awesome cat Pedro.
