DAY 55 with our unsocial foster cat, Pigeon 🕊️
Pigeon has been with us for 55 days, and he has come such a long way already.
When we first rescued him from the street, he definitely wasn’t impressed that we had taken him away from the only home he knew. Before trapping, though, he would excitedly skip over whenever he saw me because he knew food was coming 🤣He was very easy to trap.
Pigeon is a happy, confident little boy. He loves playing with us, sitting right beside me, and often falls asleep nearby looking completely content. He isn’t ready for pats just yet, but he will let me gently pat his nose, and I can give him little pats while he’s enjoying a licky treat or eating a meal.
He is a dominant and confident boy who loves his siblings very much, although he does get a little jealous sometimes. He will occasionally hiss at them to make them move away so he can have me all to himself for playtime. He doesn’t do it all the time, but he definitely likes having his special one on one moments.
I feel confident that Pigeon is happy and settling into indoor life beautifully. I think he will be the first of his siblings to learn to enjoy pats and become ready for adoption. We are so proud of him. 💙
