If you are following along, you know Annette, the red bellied black snake who was tangled in netting!

Thankfully, she has no internal or external damage!

So after a few days of observation, it’s bye bye to the nastiest RBB to ever grace one of my bags!

She’ll be much happier now!

The length of some snakes is incredible!

Swansea RFS seems to be a favourite hangout of some of the local Dimond Pythons in the area.

During this site inspection we found multiple longggg snake skins

For scale - awesome volunteer Jedd is 6’4” (195cm) to my 5’2” (160) and this skin was the length of him!
It wasn’t even a complete shed either!

The instant panic into appreciation 😂😂 🔉

Look at this big scary Golden Crown snake displaying how tough he is!

The pink on the belly tells predators that they are venomous! “So leave me alone!”

Told him, sorry but I can’t, he isn’t meant to be in someone’s bedroom at 1am.

So we went somewhere a lot nicer.

Please do this is you own a pet!

Take photos! Detailed ones.
If you have lost your pet, we need to make sure we can properly ID it for you.
Clear photos of markings and any weird body quirks they may have.

This lost friend is definitely a pet.
So if you have a friend in the Kahibah area that owns snakes.
Please tag, share, send what you need.

It would be wonderful to get this little python home.

Proof of licensing, ownership, and photos to correctly ID will be required.

This beautiful little snake did not want to leave the warmth and safety of this car. It took about 20 mins of gentle encouragement until it got sick of me and wanted to leave.

It didn’t look good at all!

Called to Fennell Bay to a Red Bellied Black Snake that had gotten itself into quite a mess… and we had no idea how long it had been wrapped up for!

I had major concern for its welfare!
Had the mesh netting cut through the skin? How bad is the internal damage? Will this be an unhappy ending too? ☹️

The good news though, they are free of the netting with NO external damage outside of a few scuffed scales, but will be under observation to see what’s next.

So far cranky pants has no sign of internal damage, but is moving brilliantly, and is furious at me… Because how DARE I.

What shall we name this beauty?

An update on Glen, the Red Bellied Black Snake. 🐍
