They are sleeping like angels now!!
Today is worming day and after treating 6 pups I spotted a worm tablet that had been spat out on the floor. Damn, I don't know who managed to do that, so those 6 will have to be redone in a couple of days! Finished worming the other 5.
Changed their bedding and put in their lunch and clean water bowl, all looked fresh and clean again.
After trashing their freshly cleaned sleeping quarters, upending lunch, spilling their water, and trying to rearrange their clean bedding they all fell sound asleep. I guess it will be rinse and repeat when they wake up, just as well I have a good supply of clean dry bedding.
Pups are almost five weeks old now and their coats are developing nicely, there are just a couple that have the type of coat that is difficult to predict, they could have a shorter long coat, or a longer short coat??
Oh the joy of large litters!!!

Puppies are now 10 days old and growing well. Lili is doing a fantastic job looking after them all, she is such a lovely Mum.

Lili had a very busy afternoon yesterday; the final count is 12 puppies. 4 girls and 8 boys. She is a brilliant Mum, making sure that all pups are fed and clean. There is one little girl that needed a bit of extra help, so she has had a couple of tube feeds overnight, but everyone else is doing well.

For all of those people waiting for news of the Lili/Magician litter, PUPS ARE ON THEIR WAY!!! 4 so far with quite a few more to follow. I will post again when she has finished giving birth.

Excellent news this morning! Lili has had her pregnancy scan, and we are able to confirm that she is indeed pregnant. We could see lots of developing puppies on the screen and estimate a litter of 8 to 10 babies are expected. Busy times ahead!

Request for assistance

Does anyone know if there are any charitable organisations in Qld that can offer temporary care of a dog (2 weeks to 3months) whilst her family find a new place to live?
Due to personal circumstances, they have lost their home, and they desperately want to find somewhere for their girl so that they do not have to give her up.
Even a private foster arrangement may work.
She is a four year old White Swiss, she is used to being around children. Her family is desperate, they don't want to lose their girl, so any suggestions gratefully received.

Lili's journey to Motherhood has begun!

She was inseminated on Monday 2nd March so the due date for puppies to be born, is around the 2nd May. Dad is Magician, and whilst Magician didn't make the showring, he has produced well, and several of his offspring have done very well. His puppies have lovely temperaments, socially stable and easy to train. In combination with Lili I expect that there will be some serious sports prospects in the litter.
Some spots on the waiting list are still open.

Both parents have good hip/elbow results and are clear of all testable diseases.

Finally! Lili has come into season! We have been waiting for her to decide that the time is right to have puppies and it looks as though it will be April puppies.
She is to be bred to Magician for a litter that should be perfect for all dog sports and as companions for active people. I do not expect any couch potatoes in this litter (but you never know). If you would like to be placed on the waiting list for a puppy please let me know, there are already several expressions of interest in the litter so spaces are limited.

There should be some long coats and some medium coats in the litter.
