My pineapple top has been sitting in water growing roots, so today it's finally time to get it into some soil! 🍍🌱

Now comes the long wait to see if I can actually grow a whole new pineapple from it.


I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this one! 😆

Remember back in June when we chopped our breadfruit tree right down? 🌳

I lost all hope of it coming back! But I spotted these tiny little nubs starting to appear along the trunks! 🌱

They're tiny, but I'm so happy to see some new growth. I didn't kill it! 😍

A foggy start to the morning here in the garden. 🌫️🌿

I'm also harvesting a good handful of spinach for breakfast. There’s something pretty satisfying about picking what you’re going to eat straight from the garden. 🌱

The pumpkin vine has taken over the yard, so it's finally time to clear it out. 🎃
At least I got two more pumpkins first!

This is the damage left by these garden cockroaches! I'm so sad

Ruby's happy eating all the pesky roaches 🪳 in my compost today! These little pests cause lots of damage in my veggie garden. They've eaten seedlings 🌱 and root crops like potatoes, radish and sweet potato.

This is the only way I know how to eradicate them without using harmful sprays.

The plants are continuing to produce, so I'm making the most of them while they're coming along.

The bird feeder was definitely due for a clean, so I gave the seed tray a good wash and put it back.

Didn't take long for the first visitor to turn up. 🐦

My bird feeder is overdue for a deep clean 🧼 We get lots of wildlife visit our feeder daily and it's really important to keep their dish clean.
