The past couple of weeks have been truly special.
Watching each dog settle in, find their rhythm, and relax into their own little adventures has been beautiful.

Every little comfort their families packed- the familiar bedding, their usual food, the blankets and toys they curled up with, made such a difference - you could see it in how quickly they felt safe, calm, and at home.

Thank you for trusting us with your dogs over the holidays. Your thoughtfulness helped them settle so gently, and it's been a joy having them here ❤

Drop-off and pick-up times are flexible when your dog is staying with us.

We're early risers, so early morning arrivals are no problem, and we're also happy to accommodate late afternoon or evening pick-ups.

Just let us know your preferred times, and we'll do our best to work around your schedule.

We’re halfway through the school holidays, and it’s been such a lovely mix of dogs and adventures so far.

From quiet bush walks to relaxed playtime in their own areas, each dog has enjoyed their stay in their own way.

It’s been wonderful seeing them settle into their routines and enjoy the peaceful rhythm of the days here at Paws at Play.

We do still have a few spots available for the second week of the holidays if you need care for your dog while you’re out and about.

Daily Updates - It’s All About What You Prefer

When your dog stays with us, we want you to feel comfortable too.
That’s why we ask on our client form whether you’d like daily updates or if you prefer updates only when needed.

There’s no right or wrong answer.
Some families enjoy a little photo or message each day, while others feel more relaxed knowing we’ll only contact them if something important comes up.

We simply follow whatever helps you feel at ease while your dog enjoys their stay.

Your preferences guide us, just like your dogs routine does.

Helping Dogs Feel at Home Through Routine

Dogs settle best when life feels familiar. The small routines they know from home make a big difference when they’re staying somewhere new.

Things like bringing their own bedding with familiar scents, their usual food and the treats they know all help them relax more easily.

Keeping to the routines they’re used to — feeding times, bedtime rhythms, little habits they expect — gives them a sense of safety and predictability.

Here at Paws at Play, we follow each dog’s normal routine as closely as possible.

It’s these gentle, familiar touches that help dogs feel at home, settle in, and truly unwind.

The Homestead Lounge - Coming Soon

Something new is on the way at Paws at Play Dog Care.
The Homestead Lounge will be a cosy, homestyle space for our outside dogs who still love being close to the heart of the home.

This area will include:
* A safe overnight enclosure — secure, calm and comfortable
* Access to the patio lounge — a quiet spot to stretch out, watch the bushland and settle
* A homely atmosphere — close enough to feel part of the home, with the space and routine outside dogs enjoy

It’s the perfect blend for dogs who like their own area but still want to be near the warmth and rhythm of the house.

More updates soon as we get The Homestead Lounge ready.
