Never give human medications as they are highly toxic to guinea pigs.
Never let them stop eating. If your guinea pig stops eating entirely, their gut will shut down quickly
Common Emergencies & What To Do
Respiratory Distress or Difficulty
Labored breathing, clicking sounds, heavy discharge from nose/eyes
First Aid: Keep them completely stress-free. Do not bathe them. Seek an emergency vet immediately. Respiratory infections are life-threatening
GI Stasis or Bloat (Not Eating / No Droppings)
Signs: Swollen/hard belly, lethargy, teeth grinding, squeaking when touched
First Aid: Keep them warm administer a small dose (0.1–0.2 mL) of infant simethicone (e.g., Little Remedies Gas Relief) to alleviate gas. Syringe-feed recovery food
Cuts, Bites, or Scratches
signs : Bleeding, missing fur, scabs, or open wounds
First Aid: Clean the wound immediately using a sterile saline solution or diluted Betadine (mix with water until it looks like weak tea). Apply a thin layer of plain antibiotic ointment (like Bacitracin)
Eye Injuries (Hay Poke)Signs: Squinting, white discharge, pawing at the eye
First Aid: Flush the eye using a sterile saline solution or a designated eye wash. Use a clean syringe and gently flush from the inside corner out. Do not rub the eye

ivermectin is best treatment and prevention of mites if using farm grade drench 0.2ml behind the ear This is where it will absorb best .
