💎 You didnt have like country music to love Dolly Parton . It’s hard not to feel a little lucky to have lived in an era of such a remarkable woman. As a teacher and mother I have witnessed the gifts of her generosity from the imagination library - what an incredible legacy . When we couldnt find the words about love and loss Dolly wrote songs for us.

I think one of the stories that has stayed with me the most today, was Pricilla Presley sharing that when she and Elvis left the court after being divorced , he sang “ I will always love you “to Pricilla .. and later I read Dolly wrote that song and “ jolene “ on the same night !

I can’t wait for the weekend to watch Steel Magnilias (again) and my next karaoke opportunity to tragically sing favourites: Working 9-5 and Islands In a stream

Ironically, we named this little girl Dolly a few weeks ago.
