We attended our first specialty on the weekend, taking the crew to the Queensland Wyandotte Speciality. The Gold Laced pullets went unplaced but our Splash team were fortunate to take our Colour Champion and Reserve Colour Champion against some lovely birds - really happy consider both of these birds are only 6mths of age, so hopefully they keep growing well.

In late November we welcomed our very first adult Brahmas to the mix and they settled in as if they’d always been here. At that point we still weren’t sure whether we’d step into the show scene, but it didn’t take long before we found ourselves selecting and breeding for type and colour with real intention.
