🐾 More Than Just Cuddles 🐾

At 3 weeks of age, puppies are becoming more aware of the world around them and beginning to engage more with their environment, making this an important stage in their development.

At this stage, interactions are limited to our family, allowing the puppies to develop in a safe and familiar environment while helping them become comfortable with human contact.

Gentle handling, including patting, holding, cuddling, and positive exposure to human touch, plays an important role during this time. As part of this process, we regularly handle their paws, tails, ears, and bodies, helping them become comfortable with everyday handling from an early age.

These early experiences help puppies learn that human interaction is safe and positive. They help build confidence, encourage positive responses to new situations, and help puppies develop into resilient, adaptable dogs.

While these moments may look like simple cuddle time, they are an important part of raising puppies that are comfortable, confident, and ready to embrace new experiences. ❤️

Spoiling puppies is one of our favourite things to do. 😅

From toys and puzzles to sensory and confidence building activities, we're always looking for new ways to keep growing minds engaged. Enrichment plays an important role in helping puppies learn, explore, problem-solve and build confidence as they develop, and it's something we love incorporating into our puppy program.

There will be plenty for the puppies to discover over the coming weeks, and we can't wait to see little tails wagging as they explore all their new goodies. ❤️

🐾 ENS & ESI Complete! 🐾

Our puppies have now successfully completed Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI).

Over the past 14 days, they have taken part in daily ENS and ESI sessions as part of their early development. These experiences introduce puppies to new sensations and scents during a critical stage of growth and development, helping to build a foundation for future learning and confidence.

It's always amazing to see how much they change in such a short period of time. Their confidence continues to grow, their curiosity is developing, and their little personalities are becoming more apparent every day.

At Vuk Kennels, we are committed to giving our puppies the very best start in life. ENS and ESI form an important part of our approach to early puppy development, helping to provide positive experiences during this important stage of growth and development.

With this milestone complete, we look forward to watching them continue to learn, explore, and grow in the weeks ahead.

🐾 Walking for a Cause 🐾

Cancer is something that has touched our family personally, and like so many others, we understand the impact it can have on those affected and the people who love them.

That's why we are proud to be taking part in the Cancer Council's 50km Dog Walk Challenge, which starts tomorrow. Alongside our dogs, we'll be walking throughout June to help raise awareness and support the important work Cancer Council does for those impacted by cancer.

Funds raised through this challenge help power world-class cancer research, prevention programs, and vital support services for people impacted by cancer before, during, and after treatment.

Every step we take is for those currently fighting cancer, those who have overcome it, those we have lost, and the families and loved ones who walk beside them every day.

Thank you to everyone who supports this challenge. Whether you're participating, donating, sharing, or offering encouragement, every contribution helps make a difference.

Here's to 50km, plenty of wagging tails, and walking together for a future free from cancer. ❤️🐾
