We Did It. ❤️🐾

Today is a day I honestly never thought would feel quite this emotional.

Behind this little registration number is so much sweat, so many tears, countless late nights, endless paperwork, stress, doubt, and moments where I wondered if we were ever going to get here.

But more than anything, there has been PASSION.

Passion for the animals who have nowhere else to go.
Passion for the ones who have been overlooked, abandoned, surrendered or simply needed someone to believe in them.
Passion for giving every animal a second chance without judgement.

We have poured our hearts into building Pocket Full of Paws into something that can make a genuine difference. This hasn’t been about money. It hasn’t been about recognition. It’s been about animals.

And today, all those tears, sleepless nights, phone calls, applications, paperwork and hard work have led to this moment…

Every animal whose life became a little brighter because someone cared.

And this is only the beginning. ❤️

This baby comes flea/tick/wormed, vaccinated, health checked and desexed!

Meet the sweet Maddie! Spending most of her life as a breeding machine and came to us so severely matted she is almost not recognisable now that she has been groomed. Maddie brings so much joy and life to a household with her beautiful cuddles and her quirky personality.

She loves walks and following you around to check on everything you are doing. She has come so far putting on a whole kilo since being in care and putting on so much more strength in her body. She loves to potter around, Sun bake and sleep in her bed next to you.

Maddie is looking for a home to live out the rest of her days with love and treated like the beautifully stubborn queen she is!

Child friendly - yes
Toilet trained - not really
Crate trained - yes (but I’d rather not be in there)
Lead trained - I haven’t been out much so I zig zag all over the place but love walking
Cat friendly - seems unbothered
Dog friendly - yes
Food aggressive - no
Toy aggressive - no

Maddie is deaf - though she hears some things she needs to be looking at you or have you do hand signals for her to fully understand.

NOTE - please understand that she is not untrainable…. But we are not looking for a home where life is all about leaving her all day and making sure she is trained! Maddie has been through so much in life and deserves to be allowed to rest and just be! we FIRMLY believe at her age and stage in life that she does not needs to have a huge amount of training forced upon her. What she needs is someone who is going to love her, help her with her anxiety of being left alone, fatten her up, continue to teach her that people can be kind….
It won’t be easy to impossible to toilet train her (though she doesn’t wee or poo in her crate at night) but after 12yrs of being in a cage and toileting where she could around feeding puppies and now being deaf as well - she will get it eventually but Maddie deserves to be a couch potato and someone’s forever shadow for the last years of her life

Coco is the sweetest, kindest girl who loves to keep you company and potter around the house but the minute the lead and harness go on - she means business! Coco LOVES going for walks and exploring. This is her life mission to explore, explore, explore!

Most importantly this beautiful girl loves to be with you. She is ok to spend time without you but when it’s time for you to get home she is just bouncing with joy! She loves so hard and just loves to have you around.

Coco is great with kids, and does enjoy being with other dogs but wouldn’t mind being an only dog!

Jerry is a sweet bundle of bouncing fun! Despite his rough start to life and not being shown love, not socialised and returned from 3 different homes due to no fault of his own (people moving, life changed and landlords changing their minds), Jerry is a beautiful boy with so much love to give.

Jerry is slowly adjusting to being socialised with other dogs. With very slow introductions Jerry could live with another dog but after everything in life I believe this gorgeous boy would benefit from being the sole receiver of all your attention!

Jerry loves going for walks, sitting at cafes, playing with the kids and enjoying your company!

3yrs ago I got to meet and work alongside one of the most incredible rescuers! Still to this day Donna White has been a firm and supportive presence in my life. She pushes me to be the best I can be and encourages me to go above and beyond!

By this point of my career I had been doing rescue for a year and now almost 5yrs in to my rescue journey I am still so thankful for the people I’ve met, the support I’ve had, people who have come and gone (some gladly some sadly) and a journey that has been filled with tears, laughter, a suck it up and get it done attitude and many animals in need!

This has been one of the biggest rescues of my rescue career and it definitely changed how I view the rescue world and my passion and drive became so much more!

Here is to many more years and many more animals in need.
