**EL NIÑO FORECAST – WHAT IS IN STORE FOR AUSTRALIA?**
Clients are strongly advised not to wait until the last minute to arrange shearing.
Shearpower2ewe will be starting the 2026 shearing season from **July–August 2026**, and we will most likely **stop by late November 2026**, depending on weather and heat conditions.
Our workers, dogs, and livestock will **not** be placed under unnecessary stress or extreme heat conditions. Animal welfare and safe working conditions come first.
Clients who delay bookings outside the main working window may be subject to extra charges, depending on travel, weather conditions, heat restrictions, and availability.
Due to ongoing issues with telco “fair use” policies, regulations, laws, and the way these matters have been handled by the TIO, Shearpower2ewe is no longer able to reliably send seasonal notices, weather updates, shearing run notices, cost-saving updates, or bulk SMS/email messages to clients.
**All outgoing bulk SMS and email notices have stopped.**
From now on, we will only contact clients who have contacted us directly first. Contact will be by **phone call only** where possible.
Please get organised early, call ahead, and do not leave shearing bookings until the heat arrives.

The United Nations has warned the rest of the world, including Australia, to prepare for a moderate-to-strong El Niño. So what's in store for us?
