REMINDER – BOOK YOUR SHEARING EARLY FOR THE 2026 SEASON

With forecasts warning of extreme temperatures and hotter conditions during this 2026, now is the time to arrange your shearing and livestock before this summer heat arrives.

Shearpower2ewe will be fully operating from late July through to the start November–December.

We are currently organising bookings for the 2026 shearing season. Early bookings are strongly recommended, especially for larger flocks and regional runs.

IMPORTANT LIVESTOCK HEAT WARNING – 2026 SEASON

There is already footage coming out of the UK showing alpacas, sheep and other livestock struggling in extreme heat, with temperatures reported around 36°C.

Australia needs to take notice.

Our coming 2026 summer could bring far higher heat conditions than that, and livestock owners must not leave shearing, crutching, alpaca work, hoof care or animal welfare jobs until it is too late.

At Shearpower2ewe, we keep reminding clients every year:

START EARLY.

We are already starting, and July is only days away. Once the season gets moving, we will be flat out. Please do not wait until the heat arrives and then expect urgent shearing at the last minute.

When conditions become too hot, we will not shear. It is not safe for the animals, and it is not safe for the workers.

Your livestock can suffer badly in extreme summer heat if action is delayed.

Book early. Prepare early. Do the right thing by your sheep, alpacas, goats and livestock before the real heat arrives.

**EL NIÑO FORECAST – WHAT IS IN STORE FOR AUSTRALIA?**

Clients are strongly advised not to wait until the last minute to arrange shearing.

Shearpower2ewe will be starting the 2026 shearing season from **July–August 2026**, and we will most likely **stop by late November 2026**, depending on weather and heat conditions.

Our workers, dogs, and livestock will **not** be placed under unnecessary stress or extreme heat conditions. Animal welfare and safe working conditions come first.

Clients who delay bookings outside the main working window may be subject to extra charges, depending on travel, weather conditions, heat restrictions, and availability.

Due to ongoing issues with telco “fair use” policies, regulations, laws, and the way these matters have been handled by the TIO, Shearpower2ewe is no longer able to reliably send seasonal notices, weather updates, shearing run notices, cost-saving updates, or bulk SMS/email messages to clients.

**All outgoing bulk SMS and email notices have stopped.**

From now on, we will only contact clients who have contacted us directly first. Contact will be by **phone call only** where possible.

Please get organised early, call ahead, and do not leave shearing bookings until the heat arrives.

This notice is supplied by management,

A direct and sincere apology to clients we were unable to reach properly.

From October 2025 through February 2026, our phone and business services were restricted due to actions involving SpinTel and an ongoing matter with the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (TIO).

This disruption has been ongoing for over 14 months and caused significant operational impact to our communications.

We are returning to full operational and structured back into our seasonal shearing program.

📅 IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ

We are currently in mid-shearing season.

• Spots are limited
• All runs are weather-dependent
• Clients must follow booking and livestock preparation instructions to remain on schedule

🌐 On our website you will find TWO calendar:

1️⃣ Shearing Zones – Roster System
This shows when we are operating in your district.

2️⃣ Shearing Season At A Glance
This outlines the yearly cycle:
Prime Season → Summer → Mid Season → Winter → returning to Prime Season from August onward.

Both calendars help you plan correctly and avoid missing your run.
