Meet our Blueys litter 🩷💜🐾

We are very excited to introduce Muffin and Socks, two beautiful Golden Retriever girls born on 3 August to mum Amber and UK based sire Abel.

This very special pairing was made possible using imported frozen semen from the UK, bringing Abel’s exceptional trainability, people focused temperament and valuable genetics into our Solara breeding program. Similarly, Amber has a beautiful laid back, people focused nature she passes onto her puppies.

It was a small pregnancy and Amber ultimately required a caesarean to safely deliver her two girls. Both girls have been thriving and are being raised inside our family home with plenty of individual attention and exposure to everyday family life. They are now 4 weeks old and have started on solid food and are going so well with their stage 1 toilet training curriculum.

Both puppies have their results back from their individual coat trait DNA testing and have been confirmed as Moderate Low Shed, carrying one copy of the low shedding MC5R variant. This provides a noticeable reduction in shedding compared with a typical Golden Retriever coat, while retaining the beautiful Golden Retriever coat and appearance. 🌟

Both Amber and Abel have completed extensive health screening including DNA disease testing, hip and elbow assessments, and heart and eye assessments. 🩺

We will be retaining Muffin for our future Solara breeding program, while her sister Socks is now available to the right family. 🐾

We have been attempting to contact families on our existing waitlist through RightPaw, however unfortunately we have had limited success reaching or receiving responses from a number of those enquiries. For this reason, we are now opening applications for Socks more broadly, while still giving priority to our existing waitlist families where Socks is a suitable match for their family.

Socks has a beautiful rich medium golden coat, which may deepen further as she matures, and will be 8 weeks old and ready to leave us from 28 September.

Our Sundance litter has officially reached 8 weeks of age, and puppy departures are now underway! 🐾🥰

The past eight weeks have flown by, and we’re excited to see each puppy begin their next chapter with our wonderful new Solara families 💛💫☀️

Our Thelma & Louise girls are now over 8 weeks old, and today we said goodbye to sweet Thelma (now Mabel) as she headed off to her wonderful new family 💛🐾

These two girls have been an absolute joy to raise, and we’ll certainly miss you, Mabel!

Louise (now Lulu) is staying here with us and, in a couple of years’ time, will hopefully become a future mumma for our Solara program. 🥰

Thank you to all of our wonderful Solara families who joined us today, especially those who travelled from afar and interstate to be here.

It was a pleasure watching families meet the Sundance puppies and begin forming those special connections ahead of go home day. 💫

Our Sundance puppies are now 6 weeks old! 🙌
These guys are growing up just too fast 🐾🌟

They’ve passed their vet checks yesterday and were so brave and barely flinched for the needles 💫

They’ve now progressed to using the doggy door to take themselves out to the toilet, they are such clever cookies!

It’s amazing observing their little individual personalities starting to emerge, and we can’t wait to welcome our Sundance families to meet their puppies for the first time tomorrow at our Client Day!

A day in the life of Lucy 💛🐾

Lucy has her paws full from nursing hungry puppies and helping cleaning up after them, to continually keeping a watchful eye and dealing with an ever increasing amount of puppy shenanigans and cheekiness! 🙌😂 At Solara we prioritise the best care and comfort for our Solara mums, as healthy and happy mums = healthy and content puppies. 🐾

Our Sundance puppies are now four weeks old and growing up so fast! 🐾

They are progressing beautifully through this stage of our puppy curriculum, becoming more playful, curious and cheeky by the day. Their early toilet training is coming along well, and they are making a smooth transition to solid food and are tracking well with their developmental milestones. 🌟🙌💫

At this stage, we also ensure our mums can come and go freely rather than being confined with their puppies, so they get some “time out” when they need it. Lucy is doing an amazing job and continues to be a wonderful mum. 💛

Our little Sundance puppies are now just over 3 weeks old and growing up fast! This week marks some exciting milestones as they begin their first solids and start Stage 1 of our foundational toilet training program. 🌟💫

Thelma & Louise update 🐾

These two girls are absolutely thriving! With the milk bar all to themselves, they’re officially the chunkiest monkeys we’ve ever had and we can’t get enough of their cuteness 🥰🐾

They’re such content little puppies and spend most of their time sleeping, feeding and snuggling up together. We’ve now updated their enclosure and they are doing so well as the first stage of their introduction to solids and early toilet training. Even at this young age we’re seeing hints of the lovely natures we were selecting for from both Chelsea and Loki.

✨ The 2026 Sundance litter have arrived ✨

In the early hours of 8 May, Lucy and Charlie welcomed their beautiful Sundance puppies into the world and they are thriving. Lucy is being the most incredible mum, with the gentle, trusting nature we adore and love seeing around our family and children.

As a repeat pairing, these puppies combine proven temperaments with our premium Solara lines, featuring darker coats and our lowest shedding level possible for purebred Golden Retrievers through their double MC5R gene inheritance.

Our priority waitlist families will have first placement opportunities 💛🐾
