Meet Hank, the Labradoodle puppy who officially stole our hearts! 🐾❤️

Hank recently came to see us to have an ocular dermoid removed (a benign area of tissue that develops in an abnormal location on or around the eye, like on the cornea or conjunctiva). Not only was he an absolute superstar patient, but just look at that gorgeous face!

Now that the irritating growth is gone, Hank can get back to doing what he does best: being happy, handsome, and pain-free.

Look at this brave (and stylish!) boy! 🐾
Meet the absolutely adorable Jindou, who recently visited us for cherry eye surgery. He was a complete star during his stay, not only well-behaved but also charming the entire Vet Vision team with his sweet nature and that super cool hair-do!
We're happy to share that his surgery was a complete success, and he has recovered beautifully. His owner let us know he is doing great back at home and is fully back to his happy puppy self.
We’re so proud of this little fluffer!

Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca (KCS), commonly known as Dry Eye, is often mistaken for a minor irritation or a simple infection. But chronic dryness can lead to painful ulcers and even permanent scarring if left untreated.

If your pet is constantly squinting, rubbing their eyes, or producing thick, yellow discharge, it’s time to look deeper than the surface. At Vet Vision, we go beyond the standard drops to find the root cause and restore comfort.

Speak to your primary care vet about a referral to Vet Vision.

Did you know that cats are masters at hiding ocular pain? 🐱

Glaucoma is a silent thief of sight. By the time symptoms are obvious, permanent damage to the optic nerve has often already occurred. That’s why at Vet Vision, we are bringing proactive, sight-saving screenings directly to our regional communities.

From 1st June to 31st August 2026, we are offering a specialised Feline Glaucoma Screening for just $250 at our Canberra and Newcastle consulting locations.

This comprehensive exam includes an expert specialist check, tonometry, gonioscopy, and an advanced microscopic evaluation. Plus, your cat’s anonymised results will help inform our ongoing Regional Health Study to better understand why certain breeds (like Burmese, Siamese, and Abyssinians) are so vulnerable.

How to book: Because we are a specialist clinic, a referral from your primary care GP vet is required. Speak to your local vet today about scheduling a discounted screening.

This weekend two of our nurses, Nurse Katie and Nurse Sophie, took some time away from eyes to volunteer with Animal Referral Hospital Canberra and Canberra Street Cat Alliance, two organisations we work closely with, to help with a large scale desexing drive. 18 kittens rescue were desexed in under one day, which is a huge accomplishment! This vital work helps more kittens get adopted, and reduces the amount of stray cats being born on the streets.
Of course they couldn't resist checking out some eyes either.
