If you are a coastal dog mum/dad tell us, what is one thing there is NOT that you feel we need for our beach pups? We’ve got a few ideas but would love to hear from the coastal dog community!

Where we come from, our dogs aren’t pets - they are family. As such, our puppies from birth have been treated and loved as family members and around our kids.

Puppies go through a critical socialisation window from roughly 3–12 weeks old. What they experience here becomes their normal.

If kids are part of that:
• They don’t freak out at noise, chaos, or sudden movement
• Less fear-based aggression later
• More adaptable in family homes

No exposure = reactive, nervous, hard-to-manage dog later. Simple as that.

It also teaches them tolerance, creates family ready temperaments, speeds up training later and builds emotional resilience.

Who would have thought all of those benefits could come from little humans who want to put them in their bicycle baskets on a Sunday?!
