Sometimes being a breeder means experiencing the highest highs and the deepest heartbreaks and in the last 24hrs we have experienced this.
With great sadness, we share that Myrtle has lost her puppies.
We were so excited for this litter and had so many hopes and dreams for the little lives she was carrying. Unfortunately, Mother Nature can be incredibly cruel at times, and despite our best efforts, things don't always go the way we hope.
Our hearts are broken, and we are allowing ourselves time to grieve what might have been. Anyone who has loved and cared for an animal knows that these losses are felt deeply. Every planned litter represents so much more than puppies—it represents hope, love, and the future.
While we are devastated by the loss of Myrtle's puppies, we are also incredibly grateful. Myrtle herself is doing wonderfully, recovering well, and being thoroughly spoiled with love and cuddles. Right now, that is what matters most.
Thank you to everyone who has shared in our excitement and supported us along the way. We appreciate your kindness, understanding, and compassion more than you know.
Hold your loved ones a little closer tonight. Sometimes nature reminds us how precious and fragile life truly is.
