This is freckles! I’ve been so busy with other rescues I’ve forgotten to post him, I was called one night to retrieve freckles as he was found abandoned under someone’s house hiding away from their dogs.

Freckles would have been late fledging when I picked him up and now he is mid adolescent!

Since freckles was a failed release he is now a permanent resident at the BRRPS household forever trying to rip my toes off and steal my food from me 🤣

Pudge is still looking for a home and is starting to let me know that he wants a home ASAP please if you’d love sweet gentle pudge to be an addition to your flock just message or email me thank you

(I do adoptions outside of rocky via Dogmovers)

Pudge is available for adoption!!!

Pudge is looking for a patient, calm and determined owner to care for him as he also has a shy and timid personality but is happy to hang and socialise from a distance.

Pudge would most likely be suited in a home with other birds or a one on one owner as he yearns for company

If you are interested in taking on an ex racer as your new best friend or for your bird please message or email me so I can send you the adoption form and get to know you

(Adoption fees and proceeds are put towards pigeon supplies and housing for my rescue)

This is Pudge!

Pudge is a racing pigeon that was abandoned this week, he unfortunately failed to make his way back home and his owner no longer wanted him making him homeless I am so thankful a kind and beautiful lady managed to save him and get in contact with me so he wouldn’t be in danger in the wild ❤️

This is why pigeon racing is extremely cruel and not supported by me because there is DEFINITELY a better way to deal with situations like this rather than poor Pudge’s case

Pudge will be up for adoption in a couple days

This is Spot!

Spot came into my care this afternoon after having quite an adventure around South rocky charming people around the way 🤣

Spot seems to be an abandoned pet as he loves pats and human attention, locals tried to find an owner but no one came forward so that’s when i stepped
in, Spot is now In the loving and caring hands of BRR Pigeon Sanctuary enjoying some yummy seed.

(Yes he had a bath and he absolutely hated it 🤣)

Hello everyone unfortunately no rescues as of yet or soon but if they are critical like babies etc I will take them in, on the 20th I sadly had to make the difficult choice to euthanise my heart pet Harley and then on top of that travel to Mackay the next day to have major surgery on my nose………due to this I won’t be receiving any rescues at the time unless stated above if it’s a baby or very sick individual. I am indeed still grieving my little girl and also recovering from surgery which will take 2 or more weeks

Please if you do find a pigeon in need of help that is not critical I do recommend to reach out to my friends Jess Storch and Brittany Farrell from Wildlife Help CQ they love and take care of pigeons as well as I do and highly recommend them ❤️

Thank you for understanding
