In celebration of it being 6 years I have been teaching primary school. I began reflecting on my journey and the adventures I’ve had. I pray each day I change the lives of the children and families I encounter… I don’t always get it right (but we are all human). Today I look back on these memories and I know without a doubt every opportunity and challenge or blessing has changed my life!!

From the Gold Coast, church, netball courts, sports fields, youth camps, riding schools and all the way to South West Quilpie I cherish so many memories. It’s been an honour to reflect on these moments.

My most favourite privilege has been to share my faith and love for animals with others. Jesus changed my life and saved me and I’m forever grateful I can share that with others. I could not do this without His strength and those he’s placed around me.

If you have a funny memory or would like to connect I would love to hear from you! Life is busy and we don’t take anything with us when we leave this world. So hold tight to the gold. A mentor I once worked with told me ‘each person has gold in them, it’s your choice to find it’.

Sharing the love in the community. Thanks for being a friendly face and hub to share. Our Prep/Ones loved drawing the helicopters and hay and talking about positive words to spread joy in our community.

Classroom update as we near the end of week 10!

Lots of inside movement and hands on activities to keep our little minds thinking.

It has been a big few weeks and I am proud of how our little people are showing resilience. We have been focusing on positivity. ✨

Our Prep One class has progressed so much in working as a team and I love that our classroom is focussed on love.

Above all clothe yourself in love. 💕

Connection is key! ⚡️Confidence comes from your ability to control your emotions. Working with large animals means you need to not only control your own emotions, but also read their emotions.

Breathing, working through the steps and building a relationship with your horse is the foundation. That relationship comes with consistency, clarity and calmness. Modelling how to breathe, work with the horse and the environment is the first step to teaching emotional intelligence when partnering with your horse.

Little cowboy here learnt to trust his horse and himself today. 🐴
