Awesome to see the teams getting after it 💪

Day 1 at American Tactical K9 Assn 💥

Back in my happy place! So good catching up after 3 years with some of the genuinely best people 🤙

03/10/2026

And that's a wrap! 💥

Just finished up 4 epic weeks at Tarheel Canine on the Police K9 Instructor Course and I'm sad it's over!

Covering everything for police dogs including obedience, detection, tracking and bitework 🐕

Getting to work with the green dogs and prepping them for their upcoming handler courses as well as helping decoy for the teams on their handler course 🔥

Also getting to attend PSA club training and the decoy camp was awesome too! So many talented teams and decoys and I learnt loads from everyone 🤓

Special thanks to Jerry, Taylor, Abe, Perry and all the staff at Tarheel! Hopefully I'll be back!

Life looks a little different for us both now!

Gunner may be retired from the Western Australia Police Force and I may no longer be a Dual Purpose Canine Handler and Trainer... but we are still getting after it!

It just looks a little different now, and that's okay 😊

Gunner was diagnosed with severe degenerative disc disease and had to retire a little early 🐕

We still do all of the things he loves like detection work, bite work, swimming, play, sleeping 😴 I just do it in a safe and manageable way for him, so I can preserve him for as long as possible!

I absolutely adore him and I am still so thankful I got paired up with him 💕 he has changed my life and I've had so many amazing experiences I have been able to share with him. He is an incredible dog and I cherish every moment we've had! Thank you Crusader K-9 for producing him 🙏

Happy retirement Gunner and may I have many years with you yet ❤️
